new Discovery Soccer Preseason Skills Camp

Grades K-5 The Discovery Soccer Academy preseason skills camp is designed to introduce players to some of the overarching principles within the game of soccer. By providing an early foundation of basic technical and tactical themes, we hope to enhance their individual development, as well as, their overall understanding of the game. In addition to increasing each player's technical aptitude with the ball, each player's cognitive understanding of the game will be aided through guided discovery. This will enable players to problem solve on their own, helping them determine not just How but When and Where to execute their skills in a game as well. Soccer Made In America Camp Ages 4-14

The Soccer Made In America Training Camp offers professional soccer training covering technical and tactical training for 5 consecutive days 1/2 day sessions. This camp is designed to teach players proper technical skills while enjoying playing soccer. Players are divided into groups or ten or less according to ability first, and age second. Beginning players will be introduced to fundamental techniques and apply them in games. Intermediate players who have mastered basic techniques will be challenged to higher-level competition. Participants must bring their own soccer ball. Shin guards and a water bottle are recommended. Each participant receives a camp t-shirt, certificate of achievement, participation in contests, and awards given to winners on "Awards Day" Friday. Our fun and fast-paced camp is perfect for players of any level of skill or experience. This camp is open to 1st-8th graders, which will then be separated by age. Players will be taught the foundational skills of lacrosse then will work to become confident in their abilities. East Ave offers lacrosse equipment rental that is free for players. Equipment requests must come in prior to the first day of camp, and must be communicated to Alek@eastavelacrosse.com as soon as possible. new Chicago Union Ultimate Frisbee Camp Ages 9-13

Ultimate Frisbee is a non-contact, action packed sport played with a flying disc (Frisbee) where players pass the disc from one player to the next until someone catches it in the opponent's end zone for a goal, worth one point. Participants can be expected to learn the following: basic rules and strategies, how to throw forehand and backhand, proper catching techniques, basic offense and defense, and leadership and teamwork skills. Most importantly we prioritize getting kid moving and having fun! Activities will include throwing accuracy game, partner catching, Randy Moss drills, footwork games, pulling contests, small scrimmages, and much more. Campers will also receive: Chicago Union disc, four tickets to a TBD Chicago Union home game, and additional prizes for skills challenges, effort, teamwork, and good spirit.
