Kids “Neature” Science Camp Ages 8-12

We are bringing all of the classic science fair events into a fun-filled 3 week camp. Each week participants will have a challenge that has them saying "Well, that's pretty neat!” The egg drop, bridge building, magnetics and other contests are a part of this camp. Learn to Fish Ages 8-13

Fishing is a combination of luck and skill. We will help you take care of the skill part! Participants will get a rod/reel combo and other basic gear to help them throughout the 4 week program, and they even get to keep it. Knot tying, lures types, and technique will be covered at various locations in the area. Meet in the Recreation Center parking lot to catch the bus to class. Restoration Days Ages 7+

The Warrenville Park District needs your help! Come join us as we continue our restoration of the Ferry Creek Wetland at Summerlakes Park. Participants will learn how to identify, and remove invasive species, plant and collect seed. Help us turn this wetland into a premier outdoor classroom! Get those hands dirty, and learn how delicious home-grown veggies can be! Participants take part in every aspect of gardening at our Learning Garden. Kids will get their very own garden trowel to take home along with knowledge on how to start their own garden at home. Don't let Mother's Day weekend go by without spending some quality time with the lady who has given you so much. Join the WPD as we spend a morning planting in our Mother's Day garden. Invite birds to your own backyard with a handcrafted Bird House that you get to assemble with Dad!
