PRAISE GOD we are still here! I hope all has been well for you and your family members. I never cease to say thank you to all of you for being faithful readers/viewers of Sarah. Did you enjoy our Anniversary issue? Who wouldve thought we’d make it two years, and we are getting better each year. We have teemed up with a Representive of COASTAL VACATIONS and in this months issue we are giving away a trip to HAWAII! All you had to do was place an ad/article or give a donation and your name would be entered to win. I hope you didn’t miss out on this because you thought we were joking. The winners name is announced in this issue. IS IT YOU!!! We are praying in the months to come that we will have even more great giveaways. If you missed this one, make sure you don’t miss out on next months giveaway. We are not sure if it will be as good as this one, but who knows??? You just have to wait and see... In the months to come we have some great cover stories. To kick off the month of October, we have a beautiful couple that is busy building God’s kingdom by wining souls to Christ, spiritually and physically. When you read their bio’s and all the great things they are doing, you will be inspired. The line up for the year is going to be great! If there is any thing or subject we have not featured, let us know, we will try and put it in. Do you have a story to tell? Contact me, be one of our cover stories. Just remember, this is a Christian based magazine and we do not put anything that is contrary to God’s word. We are not limited to only Christians placing ads or even

writing an article, as long as it’s in good taste. We have the right to refuse any thing that is not linig up with our standards. One last thing, if you know me, you will know that I love children. Our goal is to have a few issues a year dedicated to the children. We all see the negativity on TV, I don’t even have to mention names, we all know who they are. It seems the media focuses on all the negative things these kids are doing and it makes them want to continue doing all these crazy things. Our youth that are out there doing something positive are being looked over. So I decided to dedicate some of the issues of Sarah to children and teens who got caught doing something good. So if you have a child that you would love to see in Sarah. Contact me and they will be featured in the upcoming childrens issues. We are here to reach out to people of all ages. Hope You enjoy this months issue, I look forward to hearing from you. God bless

Wait on God!

by Deacon Antwan Beaden-Leach

Waiting on God is probably the hardest thing that we as humans must endure. We are a “microwave” generation, wanting everything quick and instantaneous. Technology, although a wonderful thing in certain instances, has made us spoiled with the normal things of life.

your incorporation of The Word in your life. My “hunny” and I learned about each other and how to work together better. I learned his strengths and weaknesses and he learned mine, which requires trust. We learned that we can depend on each other when my weakness is his strength. Learning these things don’t happen overnight. They take time…time we don’t want to expend.

Our society is moving towards not knowing the basic things of life: sweat, toil, working towards something that would enrich our lives and give glory to God. If things don’t Before you select and marry your “lifework according to our own guidelines or partner”, consider: expectations, we are quick to give up on it and • Does this person love God? move to something else. Five Questions with the First Lady Rev. Robin P. Terry is the lovely “leading” lady of Promise Land Church Ministries (PLCM) in Baltimore, MD serving by the side of her husband, Pastor Clendon Terry. PLCM is preparing to host its 2nd annual “Will Thou Be Made Whole” Women’s conference from Oct 23-25 (2013) in Baltimore, MD. This year’s subtitle or theme (“All Things New”) gives a powerful hint to the outpouring the ladies will receive at this year’s conference. Even now the women of PLCM are gearing up for a spirit-filled time of refreshing and restoration! We caught up with this busy woman of God to answer a few questions. We are delighted to be able to share her responses here in an exclusive for SARAH magazine. Why was the title “Will Thou Be Made Whole” chosen for Promise Land Church Ministries’ annual women’s conference? The title came from God. God dropped that in my spirit because He knows that I have a heart for the women to be made whole. So many are struggling with “issues of life.” Wholeness frees us from all those things that easily beset us as women. Wholeness will make you walk upright and strong with full assurance of who you are and whose you are. What about this year’s conference theme “All Things New”? Please share with us a little about what inspired this concept. Again, I was meditating on what the theme would be and I believe God gave it to me. We need some “new things” in our lives. We keep holding on to old things that keep us bound to the past. “New

things” are good, clean, being other than the former, made or become fresh. We might need a fresh anointing from God, a clean and holy relationship with Him in our lives. Old things are passed away, all things have become new. God wants His women to know “I will do a NEW THING in YOU!” We as women we love our “new things.” Shoes, clothes, hair styles, you name it; but we also need new spiritual things in our lives to develop into the strong Christian women that God has called us to be. Sometimes it’s hard for us to let go of the “old“, because we are emotionally attached to it. But God!!! What can women expect to receive from the 2013 “Will Thou Be Made Whole” women’s conference? First they can expect a release from the weight of the “old” and a fresh outpouring of “all things new.” They will be restored and renewed with strength to help them press forward and become all that God created them to be. Conference teachers, speakers and ministers will be like “midwives” helping the women to give birth to something “new”! As a first lady, what is your primary desire (or vision) for the women of God under the realm of your influence? I want them to be Strong Women of God and stop allowing their emotions to control them. My desire is for women to build a strong relationship with the Lord that is strong enough to help them endure ALL the things that life and the devil throws at them. I want them to be able to stand no matter what. To be a prayer warrior, knowing without a doubt, that prayer changes things. My hope is; that they will look to the hills from which cometh their help and not to the things of this world and; that they will be ready and fully armored for battle so that when all appears bleak and hopeless, they won’t lose their faith but will Praise Him in the good times and bad. Like Pastor Terry [Promise Land Church Ministries] said in one of his messages, “your wilderness is what makes you strong.” We as women must get over our emotions and setbacks and press towards the mark of the high calling which is in no one else but JESUS!!!

Why do you feel it is so relevant and needful to have conferences such as this for women in the body of Christ? I believe that everyone needs to be spiritually enriched. We go on vacations; why? Because we just need to get away from our regular routine and relax and to be relieved of stress. We exercise; why? To stay in shape to live longer and healthier. We upgrade things all the time like computers, appliances, clothes, shoes and education. We want to have better relationships with our friends and family, so what do we do? Spend time learning things about each other and do things together to enrich our relationships, to make them better, to improve, to enhance, to add or increase. I believe strongly that if you are a Christian, you should always attend conferences and retreats that are going to “add to your walk with Christ. Rev. Terry; On behalf of SARAH magazine, we thank you for your time and pray that God will bless and prosper your efforts as you prepare for your upcoming conference! We also declare and decree that it will be a huge success and that every woman will be blessed beyond measure! We invite our readers to take a peek at the conference flyer included in this special issue of SARAH! Minister Sheree Carradine

I have not met this awesome couple in person YET! But I have met them over the phone and had the honor to be on Pastor Roxy’s radio show and I have listened to Chef Ernesto radio show. This KINGDOM KOUPLE (couple) is truly an anointed man and woman of God. They feed you both Spiritually and Physically. Just from our phone conversations I can feel that they are passionate about what they do. God has gifted them in a mighty way. As I read their bio’s if fits so perfectly with what Sarah is all about. Sometimes we don’t wait for God to do what He needs to

do. We jump in front of Him and try to do what we think is helping Him out. This leads to destruction. When you wait He will give you the desires of your heart. As you read their bio’s you will see what I mean. Because they waited, God brought them together to be a blessing to many others. Their talents and gifts accent each other. This is what it’s all about, They waited on God! I pray that you will be inspired and that you will tune in to their shows. Believe me, you won’t be disappointed! SPEAK LIFE with Apostle Dr. Theresa Ann Buckner Becoming Everything to Everyone... To Win Some.

Throughout life, we find ourselves wearing many hats. From the point of conception and even until now, we have been connected to God, humanity, and creation. While still in the womb, we are someone’s son or daughter. We could also be the expected grandson or granddaughter, brother, sister, aunt, uncle, cousin, and other terms used to express relational kinship. In essence, we are born as human beings connected to God and His creation. The Bible reveals that we were born in the image and likeness of God in Genesis 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. There are many theories of what it means to be made in the image and likeness of God referred to as the Imageo Dei. We are reflections of God in our own perspective ways, and through Christ have the ability to represent the fullness of God to one another and throughout all creation.

The term human being can be broken down into understanding that we are in human

form consisting of a soul, spirit, and body. The being part of this term refers to our right now state of relational reality which includes our personality, thoughts, behaviors, words, deeds, desires, attitudes, and all that concerns who we are. Therefore, we are humans that are being something at all times within this life that God has given us. It is within this being that we are capable of becoming the image and reflection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to those that do not know Him personally as their personal Lord and Savior. The word “become” can be found 135 times within 130 verses within the King James Bible. As human beings, we are always in the state of becoming. An example of becoming is that after we are born the bodily aging process begins. We become older second by second, minute by minute, hour by hour, day by day, and year by year. We are operating within the grace of time that God has allotted to each and every one of us. We have all been issued a measure of grace that has been extended to us by God. The Apostle Paul penned in 1

Corinthians 9:22-23 To the weak became I as weak, that I might gain the weak: I am made all things to all men, that I might by all means save some. And this I do for the gospel’s sake, that I might be partaker thereof with you. Here we read that in order to reach those that have not been reached or to use a more popular phrase “to win all at all cost” we must meet them at their level. When we meet others that are operating within the weakness of their own power, we are able to introduce them to the unlimited power of God. When we meet those that are lost and hurting, we are capable of offering to them the ability to be found through God’s salvation and healing offered to everyone who believes in and through Christ. If we meet those that are lacking materially in regards to food, clothing, or shelter we are positioned to offer helpful resources whether it be directly through us or indirectly through referrals to those organizations that are already established to meet their needs. As the Apostle Paul penned, we do this for the Gospel’s sake. As believers we understand that good deeds cannot earn us a place within heaven, and that good deeds carried out by the believer is and should be an actual demonstration of the love of God shared abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit. We cannot earn our way into heaven, but we are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. Being saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ is our way to obtain our heavenly place. As we are being and becoming transformed into the image and likeness of God’s Son from glory to glory and faith to faith, we are capable of becoming all things to win souls for the Kingdom of God. As we continue to submit to the process of being sanctified by God’s Word and operating in obedience to what He reveals to us we are able to share the goodness of the Lord with others. We become heralds of the Good News of Jesus Christ. We become a beacon of hope, a light in the darkness, the salt of the earth, a door of reconciliation to connect God’s people back

unto Himself, an example of Christ’s love, and an image bearer of God. God created us as human beings to be and become who He has purposed and destined us to be, as well as to assist others that are walking in darkness to do the same. We are to be and become what is needed to those that God has assigned us to minister to. Every situation that God has graced and anointed us to walk through will be used within this ministering process. The valleys and the mountaintop experiences are key integral parts that will be used within our ministry of reaching God’s people. The Bible reveals in Revelation 12:11 and they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. This particular verse points out that our testimonies of God’s providence within our lives throughout the years, as well as the atoning benefit given to each believer through the blood of Christ enables us to offer breakthrough, deliverance, healing, and salvation through the power of the Holy Spirit within the lives of those we reach out to.

Stand strong in the power of God’s might

In summary and conclusion of this article, I would like to point out that through God’s grace, Word, and Holy Spirit we are capable of being and becoming all things to win some or as it has been stated to win all at all cost. God has given provision materially, and spiritually to reach out to those that are lost. As we stand strong in the power of God’s might, and walk in obedience to His voice we are capable of being a vessel of honor in bringing glory to the Lord and bringing others into the Kingdom. Some of us are capable

of meeting the needs of others both in the material and spiritual aspects, while others of us are capable of meeting the spiritual aspects and have the abilities to make wise referrals for other needs that are material in nature. As human beings possessing a body, soul, and spirit all of these aspects must be addressed when ministering to others. We may find lack in more than one area, but God has equipped us to be able to assist in each area. We cannot ignore any part of the person, because God deals with us wholly. Each part of our being is a reflection of God, even though one or more parts may be distorted. The purpose of reaching is not only to meet temporal needs, but to bring them into the fold to be trained, raised up, and sent out to continue the process of change within a fallen, depraved dark world. The key to all of this is to possess a personal relationship with Father God through faith in Christ, to love the Lord God with all our heart, might, and soul, and to love our neighbors as ourselves. If we love the Lord and our neighbors as God has instructed us to do, we will walk in obedience to God in reaching those that are lost at all cost. We will be and become everything to everyone (that we are assigned to) to win for the Kingdom of God. I pray that this article has added to you arsenal, as you continue to run this Christian race. Remember that you are made as a human being, and that you are constantly being something at all times. We are blessed as we be and become all that God has for us to be and become. I encourage you to continue to press towards the mark in Christ Jesus. Grace and peace be unto you from God our Father and our Lord Jesus Christ,

For I’m the writer but clearly not the source of these writings, GOD IS THE SOURCE!!! Local Young Lady, Alexys Rodgers, Wins The 2013 Miss Pre-Teen Tucson/Phoenix Title Alexys Rodgers of Tucson recently participated in the 2013 Miss Pre-Teen Tucson/Phoenix pageant competition that took place on Sunday March 17, 2013. Alexys was crowned 2013 Miss Pre-Teen Phoenix/Tucson after competing against a select group of phenomenal young ladies. As the 2013 Miss Pre-Teen Phoenix/Tucson crown holder, Alexys now has a bigger goal in mind…winning the National 2013 Miss Pre-Teen title. The 2013 National Competition will take place in Orlando, Florida from December 11-December 16, 2013. Alexys will be competing, for her share of over $30,000 in prizes and specialty gifts that will be distributed to contestants. In her quest for the National title, Alexys will compete in modeling routines that include casual wear and formal wear. Most important, Alexys will display her personality and interviewing skills while interviewing with this year's National judging panel. Personality is the number one aspect that each contestant is judged on during all phases of competition. Community businesses, organizations, and private individuals will assist Alexys in participating in this year's competition by becoming an official sponsor to her. Through sponsorship, Alexys will receive all the necessary training, rehearsals, and financial support which will allow Alexys to become a very confident and well-prepared contestant in this year's National Competition Pageant. Any business, organization, or private individual who may be interested in becoming a sponsor to Alexys may contact the 2013 National Competition, at 1-800-559-3492, or contact Arthur & Thecia Rodgers at thecia.rodgers@gmail.com.
