A PERSONAL REFLECTION
My family and I had never been to Qatar, took a leap of faith in 2017 and thankfully landed on our feet at Sherborne Qatar Prep School. Although it was evident from day one that this was clearly far more than just a school, we had found a home from home.
Over the last five years, from form teacher for Years 1 and 3 and a member of Amna House, then from Head of Maths to Head of Key Stage 1 and finally as Head of Pre Prep, I have enjoyed an exciting journey and grown professionally at Sherborne Qatar. I have had the privilege of working with the greatest team of colleagues and forged friendships that will live on long after I leave Qatar. The passion and dedication, the energy and drive that Sherborne staff bring week after week to deliver an innovative, broad and balanced curriculum are awe-inspiring. Few schools deliver such personalised learning and manage to individualise the provision for each child quite like Sherborne does. In fact, this is at Sherborne’s core - providing the best education for each and every child.

Getting to know the families within the Sherborne community has also been a privilege and I have loved welcoming siblings to the school and watching families grow over the years.
Although it is with true sadness that I leave Sherborne at the end of this school year, it is also with pride that I look back at all we have achieved together. I know Sherborne is in very safe hands and I will watch from afar as you all continue on the journey of a truly outstanding school.
The memories, the people, the feelings and the experiences that I will take with me will always hold a very, very special place in my heart. Thank you Sherborne for having been a wonderful place to be and providing us with five unforgettable years.
