RESIDENT VOICE RECRUITMENT

We are currently recruiting for our Resident Voice Panel. The panel plays a very important role in making sure we deliver services in a way that meets both resident and business needs.

Our panel brings together residents to challenge how we operate and scrutinise our services. It’s all about making sure we provide excellent services that meet the standards we’ve set out.

The panel is completely independent, entirely resident-led and holds SBHA to account. Members are fully trained to carry out reviews, supported by an executive scrutiny champion and an independent consultant.

By joining the panel, you will be able to:

• Influence our services

• Gain an in-depth insight into how a social housing provider operates

• Enhance your CV and boost your employability

• Participate in training and development opportunities

• Learn new skills and meet new people

We are looking to recruit more residents to join the panel. All residents can apply, and we are particularly interested in shared owners as they are currently not represented on the panel. There are a number of ways you can get involved with the Resident Voice Panel, you could be reviewing policies, joining estate walkabouts or even interviewing prospective SBHA colleagues.

Wendy said “I have been a resident for over ten years and a member of the Resident Voice Panel for 8 years. Being a member of the RV I have gained a wealth of knowledge and I have met so many great panel members along the way.

We would love to have new members join our team and help carry out the amazing work we do together. No prior experience is needed and all training will be provided as we go. All you need is a good attitude and common sense!”

RECRUITMENT PROCESS AND DATES

Applicants must meet the core requirements within the Resident Voice Panel Person Specification, which can be viewed at: www.sbhg.co.uk/resident-voice

Applicants will also have to go through competency-based activities and complete a skills audit as part of the recruitment process.

We will be holding a number of recruitment days.
