How to Curate Your Brand Story Finding it difficult to write the story of how you got to where you are in a compelling way? Follow these simple steps.

Grab a pen & paper, your laptop or your phone to voice record a 'brain dump' of your story. Don't worry about what facts to include (or keep out). For now just write/speak, including anything that comes to mind about your journey to where you are today.

Grab a highlighter and highlight 3-5 main parts of the story that identify pivotal moments that took place along your journey. (Go to otter.ai to turn your audio recording into a transcript that you can print out and then highlight)

Grab a pen and critically evaluate what facts are truly relevant and cross out those that are not necessary to recount the 3-5 pivotal moments identified above.

Revise your story based upon the edits you've made. (Sometimes I find it useful to take each of the 3-5 pivotal moments and, for each, brain dump a second time - now that you've identified those essential aspects of your story.)

As you make final revisions, keep your core values & brand messaging top of mind, ensuring that your story weaves in those important aspects of your brand. Don't overthink this....share from the heart and you can't go wrong.

Extraordinary Woman in the Bible

Lydia. She was a seller of purple cloth. A woman from Thyatira living in Philipi. A follower of the Jewish faith, if not a Jew herself.

Lydia is only mentioned a little in the Bible, but we know that there’s a reason that she’s included. It takes extraordinary women to be mentioned in God’s word. Lydia was a successful business woman. As a woman living in a place that was not her home, she made the most of it and ultimately her and her household were baptized. Because of her business and wealth, Lydia plays a supporting role in Paul’s ministry by frequently hosting Paul and Silas in her home and serving them.

So what made her worthy of being mentioned in Paul’s ministry? When women were not seen as equal to men, and frequently kept indoors to attend to household chores, Lydia stands out because the Bible implies she is head of her household (possibly a widow) and is successful in her business. She shows Paul hospitality, and because of her

“worldly” job, she is able to

support those spreading the Gospel.

What can we learn from this woman? Just because we’re not in direct ministry, doesn’t mean we don’t have an impact for the Gospel. Lydia thrived where she was - a place that was not her home.

And through that, she was able to hear the Gospel and support Paul’s ministry. Trust where God has placed you, the gifts God has given you, and that He is using you for His glory.

Give Yourself Grace: A Powerful Exercise to Combat theBy Judy'Mean Girl' Inside Weber Let’s be honest, ladies. Do you ever serve up similar ‘mean girl’ talk to yourself? (I suspect your answer is ‘I sure do’!)

Congrats for your honesty, girlfriend. No shame. No guilt.

I, for one, am tired of letting the ‘mean girl’ win. We deserve better.

I say it’s time to shut her up. Once and for all.

I see you shaking your head in agreement. But you’re thinking: “how can we do that? My inner ‘mean girl’ can be nasty. Is it really possible to shut her down for good?”

Let’s state the obvious: this will not be easy.

Why are women so hard on themselves?

Heck, I know I am. (Especially now that I’ve surpassed my 50th birthday and certain body parts aren’t quite where they were, even 5 short years ago. But I disgress…)

Eliminating (or even lessening) our own negative self talk will require intentional action. And it will take time. (Your inner ‘mean girl’ has probably been in your head for years, so she won’t magically disappear in a day or a week or even a month.) But if you’re
