Joining Sheffield Girls’ in the Sixth Form

‘Since joining Sheffield Girls’, I have really enjoyed meeting the other girls and brilliant team of staff. I was incredibly nervous about starting a new school, yet these nerves quickly vanished as everyone was so welcoming and supportive, and I soon felt part of the community. I have already grown in confidence, something I can unequivocally attribute to the school’s ethos. What stood out to me about Sheffield Girls’ is how the teachers really get to know their students and are passionate about their subjects, which makes lessons truly engaging. The amazing team of staff are full of valuable advice and always willing to go the extra mile to support you both in your studies and pastorally. There’s such a wide variety of clubs and opportunities to get involved in. For instance, I have joined Model United Nations, where I will get the chance to attend a mock UN Conference and debate key issues in competition with other schools across the country. Many of my friends have enjoyed taking up photography, debating, helping in the junior school and playing in sports teams, for fun or competitively. I really do look forward to coming to school each day and feel extremely lucky to be here.’
