From Diane’s Desk...

I raise my glass and cheers to you - the Shawnee Life readers! I hope the season of St. Patrick’s Day invites you to celebrate good times and feel lucky! This is an exciting month as we close out winter and anticipate the beginning of spring. Moving here from California four years ago, continues to make me realize how much I appreciate actually experiencing seasons. My son, Evan, and I, still find all the different types of weather to be quite exciting, while my good ol’ “Lucky Charming”, Nick, (a Lima native), just shakes his head.

This issue contains something new we have never done before - an online apparel store for Shawnee Life. We see Shawnee Life as a way of life. It is a beautiful life so let’s celebrate our community and show our pride in where we live! Honestly, there is no pressure to buy anything, but I thought it would be fun to see if there is any interest so Chad Gray at Gray’s Cappie Sportswear, put together some of the best-selling apparel and added our logo for you to peruse online until March 19th.

And if you happen to be thinking ahead to Easter, please consider “Egging Your Lawn” with alreadyfilled, non-candy eggs that will be delivered right to your door. We featured the Autism Life Center in a past Making a Mark article and decided to partner with them, as this is their biggest fundraiser of the year!
