A busy year for the National Honor Society

The National Honor Society at Milledgeville High School has been busy this school year with activities promoting the NHS principles of scholarship, service, leadership, and character. Committee members put up a bulletin board promoting scholarships with tips for earning a high GPA. Members are beginning their individual service projects; they are volunteering at animal shelters and food pantries, raising money for charities, and more! Red Ribbon Week activities were put on in the K through 6 classrooms at the end of October, and NHS members welcomed and assisted guest speakers for a Career Day in September. NHS members are promoting leadership and service through a Homeroom Tutoring program started this year with junior high and high school students.
