ACCIDENT
No injuries in rollover on April 1 An Oregon man refused medical treatment after a single vehicle rollover on Illinois 2 on April 1. At approximately 1:16 p.m. deputies, along with the Oregon Fire, EMS and the Illinois Conservation Police responded to a single vehicle rollover accident in the 2,800 block of South Illinois Route 2. After an investigation it was learned that Leo R. Dempewolf, 29, of Oregon, lost control of his vehicle after swerving to miss an oncoming vehicle in his lane. Dempewolf’s vehicle overturned and came to rest in the grass. Dempewolf was issued a citation Earleen Hinton/Shaw Media for operating an uninsured motor vehicle. SHERIFF ACTIVITY Ogle County Sheriff Brian VanVickle reports the following police activity. March 30 Willie Barr, 62, of Byron was arrested at 10:55 p.m. for aggravated domestic battery (strangulation) and domestic battery after deputies responded to an address in the 5,000 block of East Scott Drive in reference to a domestic disturbance. Barr was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held without bond. Michael Dixon, 21, of Davis Junction was arrested at 11:30 p.m. for domestic battery after deputies responded to an address on Golden Prairie Drive in Davis Junction for a domestic disturbance. Dixon was confined at the Ogle County Jail in lieu of bond. Mark Rowe, 35, of Justice, Illinois was arrested at 3:09 p.m. for domestic battery, possession of a controlled substance (heroin) under 15 grams, reckless conduct and a valid Ogle County failure to appear warrant after deputies were dispatched to the parking lot of 4225 West Illinois 64 in reference to a domestic battery. Upon arrival, deputies learned the domestic battery took place in a vehicle while the occupants were driving
on Illinois 64. Also arrested was Jenna Jewell, 32, of Justice, for driving while license suspended and possession of a controlled substance (heroin) under 15 grams. Both Rowe and Jewell were transported to the Ogle County Jail where they were held in lieu of bond.
was arrested at 7:37 p.m. for driving while license suspended after deputies initiated a traffic stop in the 2,000 block of North Freeport Road. Lange was transported to the Ogle County Jail where she was held in lieu of bond. Lange was also cited for an improper u-turn.
Eddie Gudino, 31, of Leaf River was arrested at 7:39 p.m. for unlawful possession of cannabis after deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 3,000 block of North Mt. Morris Road. Gudino was also cited for operating an uninsured motor vehicle and one headlight. Gudino was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond.
Orrie Samp, 50, of Rochelle was arrested at 9:45 p.m. for battery after deputies responded to the 200 block of Powers Road in Hillcrest for the report of a physical altercation between two males. Samp was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond.
Aric Casey, 36, of Oregon was arrested at 3:41 p.m. for violation of order of protection after deputies were dispatched to an address in rural Oregon for a violation of order of protection. After an investigation, it was determined Casey had violated the order of protection by going to a protected address that was listed on the order. Casey was taken into custody and transported to the Ogle County jail and held without bond. April 2 Olivia Lange, 18, of Dubuque, Iowa
Anthony Apodaca, 40, of Leaf River was arrested at 4:01 p.m. for violation of an order of protection after deputies responded to a 911 hang up in the apartment complex in the 500 block of East 3rd Street in Leaf River. After investigation, deputies learned the call was made from 510 East 3rd St., which involved a domestic dispute. Apodaca was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond. April 3 Christina Princivalli, 44, of Rochelle was arrested at 5:45 p.m. for domestic battery after deputies responded to the
11,000 block of East Sunset Lane in rural Rochelle for the report of a domestic disturbance. Princivalli was transported to the Ogle County Judicial Center where she was held awaiting a court appearance. Braden A. Eich, 32, of Dixon was arrested at 6:27 p.m. for driving while under the influence of alcohol and violation of the Illinois concealed carry act after deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop near the intersection of Mason Street and Division Avenue in Polo on a Harley Davidson motorcycle. The motorcycle fled from deputies northbound on Division Avenue. The motorcycle failed to negotiate the curve in the 1,000 block of South Illinois 26 and entered the east ditch where it crashed. Polo Fire/EMS were dispatched to the scene for non-life threatening injuries. Eich was transported to KSB Hospital by Polo EMS. Eich was also issued citations for operating an uninsured motor vehicle, failure to reduce speed to prevent an accident, speeding 35+ miles per hour over the limit and driving the wrong way on a one-way street.
