Darlene Claris Geberbauer, "Doll", an Elmhurst resident since 1952, passed away at her home on September 24, 2014, at the age of 91. Darlene was the beloved wife of IN MEMORIAM the late Henry C. LOMBARD – The village’s fire hydrant painting project continues as select fire hydrants in Lombard are sandblasted and painted yellow. DMD Consultants began the project in late August and should be finished by Oct. 10. The area surrounding hydrants will be protected against overspray to minimize any damage, according to the village’s website. Crews will be working between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. seven days a week, but will be mindful of resident and business conflicts. Lombard urges residents to keep children away from the fire hydrants during the process, according to the website.
