CHAMBER CEO LETTER

Chamber CEO Letter ANGIE HIBBEN President/CEO Oswego Area Chamber of Commerce
Welcome to the Oswego Area Chamber of Commerce Fall newsletter.
The Oswego Area Chamber of Commerce continues to work hard for our members to promote them in the area by helping them make connections with other businesses and the community. We just had our annual and very successful Golf Outing at Fox Bend Golf Course. Thank you to our Event Sponsor – Weblinx Inc and to all our sponsors, volunteers and committee for helping with this annual event.
We are working on 2 new major projects for the chamber. Our “Oswego-oply” game is almost in production – preorder 10 games and receive a free Community Chest or Chance Card for your business. This will be an actual monopoly type game based on Oswego and the chamber businesses. The different properties, chance/community chest cards, hotels/ houses and the money are all sponsored by local businesses and organizations. The game boards are available for pre-order through the chamber right now and will be ready to purchase in time for the holidays. This will make a great gift for family, friends and customers.
The other major project we are working on it is our New Resident Program. These are beautiful logoed boxes that will be full of information, coupons and special offers from Oswego Area Chamber member businesses. We started delivering these boxes in June, to new residents of Oswego and have just completed the first 200 boxes. We are hearing from business that they are getting orders and customers from these welcome boxes and the people that we have talked to as we have delivered them are very appreciative of the gesture. Thank you to the Village of Oswego for helping us identify new residents, to Salazar Packaging for printing the boxes and to Imagination Print & Design for the box design. This is only available to chamber members to participate. We also have a New Business welcome program that just started. This continues to be an exciting and vibrant time in Oswego with new restaurants and new businesses coming to town every month. We are looking forward to the opening of many new businesses and places to eat in Oswego. Watch for announcements as we are given them and feel free to attend any Ribbon Cutting ceremony that you see. They are open and we encourage the public to attend these ceremonies. Please continue to shop local, eat local and promote Oswego Chamber members. I hope to see you shopping in our beautiful downtown, eating at a local restaurant, enjoying the festivals, parks and many of the other fantastic amenities that Oswego has to offer as more and more things open up. Think of the chamber as your resource to local businesses and things that Oswego has to offer. Shayna and I are here to help you, the consumer and the businesses in town.
You can find the chamber at 73 W. Van Buren St, in downtown Oswego. Our phone number is 630-554-3505 and our website is www.oswegochamber. org – check us out and learn more about Oswego and the Oswego Area Chamber of Commerce.
