ecently I ventured out to the wonderful Pho Xich Lo! Serving Vietnamese cuisine, we are lucky to have this new restaurant here on Geneva’s Third Street. To start I ordered the New Zealand green mussels in a tamarind sauce, a seafood favorite of mine. The steamed or wok-cooked mussels are blended with an amazing adornment of spices and tamarind tang that make this out-of-thisworld tasty! vegetables and protein with a hint of Asian zing and a ton of deep flavor. This is not your typical Campbell’s soup! The steak and brisket give that richness and flavor that allow the meat to cook further in the hot broth, and you can eat and feel full like an entire meal but yet not have gained much on the waistline.
