I

Welcome!

t is my privilege to welcome you to the 2021 Orland Park Area Chamber of Commerce Community Guide. Our community guide is the perfect way to introduce you to our members and the community of Orland Park. I am honored to represent such a dynamic group of businesses and individuals.

When a member joins the Orland Park Area Chamber of Commerce, they don’t just join an organization, they join a family. Families take care of each other, protect each other and support each other. They stick together during good times and bad. Needless to say the COVID-19 pandemic definitely tested that theory, and the Orland Park Area Chamber of Commerce stood true to form and took care of their family members. Events and regular day to day business may have looked a little differently, but the Board of Directors and the staff came together and created opportunities for members to continue to connect and support each other during a hard time. The Orland Park Chamber of Commerce continues to stay on mission to be the primary resource to help local businesses and the community grow and prosper. The pandemic did not allow this to be skewed;

instead it allowed the Chamber to utilize a new platform to keep members connected. Members were inundated with information on how to protect their businesses, themselves and their family members. They were invited to attend zoom calls to meet with legislators, connect with each other and learn ways to keep their businesses going during a scary time. Now that we are seeing brighter days and getting back to normal in a way, the Orland Park Area Chamber of Commerce is ready to reunite with their family members this year and also is looking forward to having new members join. We have several great events coming up in 2021 including our Orland Women Networking Luncheon, Arts and Drafts public event and Community Expo. Our Orland Women’s Networking event brings all women together of every community and business to support women’s successes achieved and projected. The OWN Committee works to empower professional women through dynamic speakers, inspiring events and networking opportunities. The Arts and Drafts has become a signature event that is partnered with the

Orland Park Area Chamber and Orland Park Crossing to feature the best “drafts” from select local breweries, the finest “eats” from specialty restaurants, one-ofa-kind art, live entertainment and so much more. This year it will be held on Saturday, September 25 on the grounds of Orland Park Crossing located on the northeast corner of 143d Street and LaGrange Road in Orland Park. This fall we will be hosting our Community Expo but in a new location, the Orland Square Mall. The expo is the perfect opportunity for Orland Park Area Chamber members to introduce their products and services to the community. Please take a look at the membership directory in the back of this guide to see the many members that represent the community of Orland Park. We hope you will continue to support the members that support the community of Orland Park. If you are a business, consider joining our family. You can find a membership application within this guide and also online at www.orlandparkchamber.org. We would love to add you to our FAMILY!
