The little house that could Historic home sees big changes By ANNA SCHIER aschier@shawmedia.com GLEN ELLYN – After 100 years at 475 Carleton Ave., Glen Ellyn’s smallest house will have a new lot in life starting this week. The home was lifted by a crane Tuesday into a neighbor’s yard at 467 Carleton Ave., where it will be attached to a much larger house as an addition. “I wish more people would be adventurous like this,” said principal architect Jamie Simoneit, who oversaw the project and owns Z+O Architecture and Interiors in downtown Glen Ellyn. Built around 1910, the 528-square-foot structure was never intended to be a residential building, Simoneit said. It was originally designed as a two-car garage with a storage
