Fantasy Dream Team (Stats through Sunday) Quarterback: Peyton Manning; 399 fantasy points, 51 touchdown passes, 5,211 passing yards, one rushing touchdown. Running back: Jamaal Charles; 298 fantasy points, 1,289 rushing yards, 12 rushing touchdowns, 693 receiving yards, seven touchdown receptions. Running back: LeSean McCoy; 245 fantasy points, 1,476 rushing yards, nine rushing touchdowns, 536 receiving yards, one touchdown reception.
Wide receiver: Josh Gordon; 218 fantasy points, 80 receptions, 1,564 receiving yards, nine touchdown receptions. Wide receiver: Calvin Johnson; 217 fantasy points, 84 receptions, 1,492 receiving yards, 12 touchdown receptions. Tight end: Jimmy Graham; 200 fantasy points, 81 receptions, 1,144 receiving yards, 15 touchdown receptions. Flex player: Matt Forte; 222 fantasy points, 1,229 rushing yards, seven rushing touch-
downs, 547 receiving yards, two touchdown receptions. Kicker: Stephen Gostkowski; 34 of 37 fields goals (long of 54 yards) 42 extra points. Defense: Kansas City; 147 fantasy points, 278 points allowed, 11 defense/special team touchdowns. Of course, the Dream Team is simply that – a dream. One franchise could not have drafted Charles, McCoy, Johnson and Forte, regardless of league size. However, an extremely shrewd owner might have been able to swing Manning, Charles, Gordon, Gostkowski and Kansas City in a draft. Any fantasy team with those five players on its roster is probably sporting some hardware right now.

In a perfect world, you have been crowned as your league’s fantasy football champion. More likely, however, it’s wait until next year. In either event, I hope you had fun playing fantasy football this year. I also hope that this column, perhaps, provided you some not-terrible advice, at least once in a while. If nothing else, there were quite a few fantasy surprises in 2013. Ray Rice was a consensus first-rounder, as was CJ Spiller. No one expected Peyton Manning to be a bum, but I don’t recall much talk about him shattering the single-season touchdown passes record, either. It was a wild season.
This week, we recognize the best 2013 fantasy players with a Fantasy Dream Team and an All-First-Round Team (the top 12 fantasy players, regardless of position).
