Trellis Farm and Garden of St. Charles joined with the Wayne 4H Club from Waye-DuPage on April 19 in support of animal shelter needs. The club shopped at Trellis with $75, and Trellis matched that amount in free dog and cat food, to be donated by the club to local food pantries. These items often are in need for the pets of people served by the pantries.

GENEVA – Whether for graduation day, Mother’s Day or an upcoming birthday, Geneva residents can purchase a gift while supporting a local cause. The Barnes & Noble Bookstore at Geneva Commons will host a book fair event Friday, May 10. Shoppers can present a book fair voucher, and a percentage of the purchase will benefit the Geneva History Center. Vouchers are available at the Geneva History Center or on the website at www.genevahistorycenter.org. The Barnes and Noble store is at 102 Commons Drive, Geneva. Store hours are 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday, May 10. Qualifying purchases also can be made online using the same voucher. For information, call the Geneva History Center at 630-2324951.
