HONORING A LEGACY OF SERVICE
We are thrilled to shine a spotlight on Armando J. Galindo, a long-time supporter of Share Our Selves. Armando’s parents attended the same church as Share Our Selves’ founders, Jean and Frank Forbath, who enlisted his father’s assistance for translation services.
As a volunteer, Armando’s father, Armando A. Galindo Sr., dedicated endless hours as a translator, during the early days of Share Our Selves helping Spanish speaking patients to receive much needed care. Armando A Galindo Sr. was passionate about helping migrant workers access healthcare resources within Orange County, and continued this work until he was in his nineties.

Combined the Galindo family has been supporting Share Our Selves for 30 years. After Armando A. Galindo Sr. passed away, Armando began donating monthly to Share Our Selves as a way to honor his father’s legacy of service. He remains a committed supporter to this day, attending events and inspiring others to get involved.
Armando is a humble man with a personal philosophy of making time for worthy causes, he believes a small impact can make a big difference. He currently teaches chemistry at a Catholic school in Salinas, but his dedication to service extends beyond the classroom. Armando volunteers with his students in the community to make a difference.
Armando’s father was born in Mexico but immigrated to the US where he attended college and graduate school . Armando A Galindo Sr. became a senior electrical engineer for the city of Los Angeles, and his legacy of service and dedication to the community lives on through his son, Armando.

We are grateful for Armando’s 16 years of continued support and partnership in our mission of providing affordable and accessible healthcare to those who need it most.
Thank you for honoring your father’s legacy of service and making a difference in our community.
