2026 LEADERSHIP SUMMIT FEBRUARY 9-10, 2026 | CROWNE PLAZA CRYSTAL CITY SHAPE America is proud to host our 5th annual Leadership Summit of health and physical education leaders from across the country. This annual gathering brings together the current executive director and an additional executive committee member from SHAPE America’s state affiliate organizations, as well as national volunteer leaders from SHAPE America’s districts, program councils and committees. Each year, the Leadership Summit covers topics to support leadership development and assist state and district leaders in understanding best practices to support a robust organization. Small group discussion opportunities are also provided on a variety of topics such as social media; technology; funding; programming; advancing equity, diversity and inclusion; project management; stakeholder engagement; and more. In addition, the Summit provides opportunities for HPE leaders to hear program and partnership updates from SHAPE America and the SHAPE America State Affiliate Advisory Council.
