when she became pregnant for the first time. The physician she initially met with was not a good match for her, but the second obstetrician was an inspiration. At the time, Kim worked as an electrical engineer designing printed circuit boards and helping installation teams at a company that made emergency shutdown systems for refineries and power plants.
