Along one of the busiest traffic corridors in the nation, Ponce City Connection creates an urban oasis in Midtown Atlanta. The development terminates the corridor of Ponce de Leon Avenue which connects the site to the Atlanta Beltline. WESTBEND ON MAIN ST. URBAN DESIGN

FALL 2015

Historic downtown Norman is strong on the East side of the railroad tracks, through a redesign on parking lots and setback shopping centers, the proposed district of Westbend will bring new life to the West side of downtown Norman. With the intersection of two grids on the urban scale, designated alleys are created to increase function with art, community, civic programs, and food. The proposed building, Lucent Living, is a mixed use facility with a culinary school, restaurants, and residential units located at the junction of the food and art alley.

IL TE MP O MIXED-USE CEMETERY

SPRING 2015

Within the dense city of Rome, mixed use is the historic solution seen in buildings throughout the years. On the North, a mixed-use building screened in color panels represents life with a museum, rooftop restaurant, school playground, and residential. The sensory bridge is renovated for pedestrians with the transition from color to neutral white as the person walks towards the cemetery. The cemetery is designed as an inverted pyramid with a waterwall entrance along the street and a reflecting pool in the center.

THE WYAN MIXED USE OFFICE

FALL 2014

Within a growing neighborhood in downtown Kansas City, The Wyan develops new offices and residential units for the community. With a glass office building on one side and a medium brick residential building on the other, the development merges these two facades and functions within one junction. The contrast of the dark brick with the white support beams define the structural and sustainable elements against the traditional facade.

A DD I TI O NAL WORKS LITTLE FREE LIBRARY

SKETCHES

The Little Free Library is a public box for books to come and go in a community. For this group project, the library is placed in the Paseo District of OKC. The layers of wood and acrylic shield the box from sun damage but still give a view of the books. Traveling brings time for reflection within the mind that I enjoy expressing through sketches and journaling. Days will come and paper can fade but remembering the journey through pen and paper is my enjoyable experience.
