Calving Ease Levels

We are often asked which bull will work on heifers so we have implemented a scale based on the bull’s BW, his physical characteristics and his dam’s past calving history. This is only a guideline and you must take into account your herd and the size of your heifers at calving.

1 Recommended for mature cows only, not recommended for heifers

2 Recommended for use on mature cows or larger framed heifers

3 Recommended for heifers, should be easy calving with minimal assistance required

4 Recommended as a sleep easy heifer bull

WelcometotheLustFarmsBullSale!

The Perlich family and staff are proud to conduct the Lust Farms Angus Bull sale for another year.

The Lust family puts a lot of effort into their herd and has done so for four generations. This family has been committed to the ranching tradition since 1944 and the quality of their bulls represents this commitment.

We have only had positive feedback from producers who purchased Lust Farms bulls. They have a strong reputation for productivity, performance, good health & temperament.

We look forward to working with them to provide you with top quality bulls at this year’s sale.

Respectfully,

WelcomefromCastlerock!

It is of great pleasure and excitement to be working with Lust Farms again this year in marketing this exciting set of Two Year old bulls. This lineup of bulls, as to be expected, comes with a herd that has been developed over the years developing itself to handle the conditions that SE Alberta and SW Saskatchewan tends to throw its way. Big country cattle are definitely a tougher kind designed to cover a lot of ground to graze and seek a water source. What a gem the Angus cow has proven itself over the last years in holding her condition, breeding and raising a good calf, the cow business certainly doesn’t have to be difficult.

With those qualities ,added in with a development program on these bulls to bring them along in a manner in which soundness and athleticism comes right to the front, gives you the customer a tremendous value added product.

All the information on the offering is available from performance stats to the EPD’s. It’s all above board at Lust Farms with intentions of enhancing your valuable purchases.

Should you have any questions feel welcome to give us a call in regards to this excellent set of Red Angus bulls. See you sale day!

Cut 209c

Before Marta 807 became a flush cow at Six Mile, we purchased Upper Cut as a natural son. Little did we know the impact Marta would have on the Red Angus breed and how fortunate we were to bring Upper Cut home that day. Upper Cut’s given us over 100 purebred calves, leaving us many retained daughters and bull sale features. This is the last group of Upper Cut sons to sell.

Redemption was purchased in 2017 from Jade & Don Mackenzie of V8U Ranch as the 2nd high seller that day. He checked a lot of boxes for us - a desirable birth weight, great performance numbers, born out of a proven dam, and eye appeal to spare! We’ve used Redemption heavily and are so impressed with the progeny he’s leaving us.

109f

Fonzie came to us out of the Lauron program in 2019. We were looking for an easy calving heifer bull with that extra punch of growth. Fonzie weaned off his 7 year old dam at 700 pounds and gained over 4 pounds/day on feed. Watch for many great ones out of this sire!
