This time, The Special Creations collection zooms the focus on the original, translucent beauty of opals. Originating from the Sanskrit word ‘upala’ meaning ‘precious stone’, as well as later the Greek derivative ‘opallios’ meaning ‘to see a change of color’, every opal stone is different thanks to millions of tiny silica layers that change their character when met with the rays of light. This gives every opal a mark of uniqueness where no repetition can ever be encountered. For centuries, opals have been associated with protection, justice, and harmony. Moreover, they have been believed to stimulate dynamic creativity through encouraging interest in arts and understanding the full potential. Since the surface of opals is absorbent and reflective, opals also give a helping hand when picking up positive thoughts, amplifying them and returning them back to the source - you. Experience the breathtaking power of opals combined with the most exquisite diamonds, precious stones, and 18k gold - The Special Creations collection represents the crème de la crème of the SHAMBALLA JEWELS’ assortment. Every element is precisely hand-picked for its intense, rare beauty and subsequently polished to perfection using the highest excellence of craftsmanship

out there. This gives Special Creations a synonym of authenticity and elevates every piece to an experience that will never occur again. Dive into this opulent repertoire of translucent beauty and get impressed by the one-of-a-kind character every precious stone carries. All encapsulated in the magical SHAMBALLA JEWELS universe. OCEAN MEETS THE SHORE Solid Black Diamonds and Brown Opals resembling the tones of volcanic black sand that smoothly blends with the reflective surface of a Solid Faceted Grey Diamond. As a vibrant addition, a turquoise string symbolizes the blue ocean waters which beautifully connect this melange together. A dramatic play between the untamed ocean waters and the gentle sand on the coast was the inspiration for these impressive pieces. Brown Opals are of volcanic nature and are usually found in the galvanic areas of Ethiopia. They are known for their unique, translucent chocolate color. The darker the tones are, the more intensity pops up in the luminous parts. Black Diamonds, also known as the ‘carbonado’ are a special type of diamond found mainly in Africa or Brazil. When they appear from volcanos, they are taken down the mountain by lava until it reaches a river bedding. The natural color of black diamonds varies from bold dark grey to black, and they are more porous than other diamonds. Grey Diamonds make a masculine and current alternative to the more known white diamonds. These gemstones obtain their color from the inclusion of hydrogen in their formation and can be found primarily in Russia, Brazil or South Africa.

NIGHTFALL IN PARADISE Imagine a deep dark night, with just the moonlight shedding light on the corners of a jungle. Suddenly, dark green leaves shake and in between them, an electrifying pair of emerald-green eyes appear. An elegant jaguar emerges from the darkness and causes some dynamics to the otherwise calm night in paradise. These precious pieces represent an allegory to the colors a jungle abounds in once covered in the arms of night. Charcoal tones of Solid Black and Grey Diamonds, interlaced with translucent Matrix Opals and sophisticated emeralds. Brown opals are of volcanic nature and are usually found in the galvanic areas of Ethiopia. They are known for their unique, translucent chocolate color. The darker the tones are, the more intensity pops up in the luminous parts. Matrix opals can be found in Australia, Honduras or Mexico and are known for their intimate mixture with the surrounding host rock (usually limestone or sandstone). This host rock beautifully intersects the opal through tiny capillaries and pore fillings. Colombian emeralds, as the name suggests, are primarily found in Colombia. They are believed to be the purest emeralds of the highest quality in the world. The darker their green shade gets, the higher the value increases. Tanzanian emeralds are mined in Tanzania, Africa. These precious stones are of very high quality for their rich, dark green color and desirable blueish hue.

FOUR SEASONS Crystal clear winters, flourishing springs, hot and sweet summers, and ripening golden falls. Every year there are 4 seasons to experience, where every single one of them has its own unique beauty to admire. These precious designs are paying tribute to the four seasons: Pure White Opals resembling the win-ter, lively Amazonites honoring the spring, Yellow Opals paying tribute to the bright summer Sun and Brown Diamonds highlighting the mature beauty of fall. Celebrate the uniqueness of each season with these hand-picked precious stones. Yellow opals can be found mainly in Australian mines. They are recognizable by their cheerful shades of yellow with opaque undertones - when pointed against the light, they resemble a rainbow hue. White opals are also called the light opals. Just like the yellow opals, these precious stones are also found in Australia. Known for their creamy white color, white opals also have various luminous veins intersecting the surface. Amazonites were already found in the archeological excavations of Ancient Egypt and Mesopotamia. Typically blue and green, nowadays, the top-quality amazonites can be found in Russia.

ODE TO JOY Infinite fields of tulips and freesias lined in smooth rows and evoking a pure colorful joy. These creations are boosting in bright, cheerful tones that immediately light up every surrounding. Sparkled up by a Green Diamond PavÊ, Ruby Pyramid or Turquoise Pyramid, one can see the symbolism of a strong and bold flower, fully blossoming in all its beauty. Green diamonds are one of the rarest and most valuable diamonds out there. The subtle green color is achieved under the ground when small particles of uranium or thorium penetrate the gemstone. Most of the green diamond formations are found in South America. Rubies are formed under the earth’s surface when exposed to extreme heat and pressure. Most of the ruby deposits are found in Asia, mainly in Myanmar, India or Nepal alongside the stretch of the Himalayan mountain range. Turquoises are opaque stones carrying the well-known blue and green hue. Turquoises belong to the oldest known precious stones with a history dating back to pharaons in Egypt or Aztecs in Mexico. Nowadays, these vibrant stones are mined in Africa, Asia or North America.
