Message from the Superintendent

This month, the word ‘value’ keeps coming to my mind I am proud to be a part of a school district that understands education is about so much more than checking academic boxes or chasing test scores. While academic success is very important, we know that truly great schools are measured by how much they add value to students' lives in every area

Adding value happens not just in the classroom but on the football field, in the band hall, at the UIL academic meet, during FFA competitions, and in countless other arenas where our students shine. It happens through experiences that teach them to persevere, lead, collaborate, and grow. Our goal is to help shape young people who are well-prepared for the future and who possess strong character, a sense of service, and the skills to build meaningful relationships

As part of the district’s mission to prepare students for lives of service, leadership, achievement, and exemplary character, SISD recognizes and rewards students who have shown these four characteristics each week with Shallowater Serves Other programs at the campus level like Mustang/Fillie of the Month, Golden Coins, Principal Showoff, and more further exemplify this commitment. These initiatives celebrate kindness, leadership, and a spirit of giving qualities that matter far beyond the classroom.

We take pride in recognizing our students’ achievements, both big and small, in many ways whether it’s on our social media platforms, on our website, in newsletters like this one, or through personal celebrations in our schools and community. At every level, we aim to show our students that their efforts and growth are valued.

At Shallowater ISD, success isn’t confined to grades and test scores It’s reflected in the way our students carry themselves, treat others, and contribute to the world around them. Together, with your help, we are shaping tomorrow’s leaders and ensuring that every student’s journey is filled with value and purpose

Thank you for supporting this vision and for partnering with us to make Shallowater ISD a place where every student can thrive. We are thankful for your support!
