Chris Spielman Bringing his Message to Ohio Valley Chris Spielman will be our Annual Dinner keynote speaker this year bringing his message of “Strength in Commitment”. Sheila Milic (something Special By Sheila) and her committee always seem to acquire a individual that is not only an accomplished speaker but also a person that has contributed to the world beyond their accomplishments on the gridiron or in their professional field. Such is the case with Chris Spielman. It has been said of him, “There are athletes in this world who are good at what they do: and then, there are athletes who are good to the world as well”. Chris Spielman is a member of the college football Hall of Fame and regarded as one of the best college linebackers of his time, but he is also a cancer warrior – continuing the fight that he and his late wife Stefanie started after her first diagnosis. He discovered his biggest opponent in life wasn’t a hard-hitting football player, but rather the difficult fight against cancer. Chris is currently an ESPN college football analyst and a professional speaker as well as a proud father
of 4 children. Chris was a proud 4-year Ohio State Buckeye, an 11 year NFL star, playing for the Buffalo Bills and the Cleveland Browns and the Detroit Lions, representing them in four Pro Bowls and was named the team’s defensive MVP in 1993 and 1994. Chris is no stranger to the Ohio Valley and we are pleased to have him spend an evening with us as our keynote speaker. The event is scheduled for Monday, September 30th at St. Florian Hall in Wintersville. We expect another capacity crowd with initial invites being sent to the chamber members. Reservations still available after the RSVP date of September 6th will be released to the general public.
