Participants were expected to design a commercial facility in the form of a souvenir center as a support for tourist attractions in Indonesia with a design that amplifies post-pandemic revival values by prioritizing aspects of sustainability and flexibility both during a pandemic and normal times, as well as future disaster mitigation measures.

Sudut Code is a public space designed for the people who lives in the bank of code river. The name itself is derived from its shape that creates a nook inside its angled site. Sudut Code is hoped to provide benefits for its local residents and act as an inclusive public facility to accommodate the existing community, especially the underprivileged.
The bank area of Kali Code is famously known as a home for underprivileged class who lives in the city of Yogyakarta.
Our main idea is to design a proper communal space that blends with the surroundings and will accommodate activities for people in the area. It could be used by anyone for recreational, educational, and creative purposes.

Sudut Code applies open plan concept, where there is no doors and the rooms are only defined by different levels of elevation.
Easy to build
Sudut Code is assembled by modular steel frames and shallow type foundations to connect the structure towards the earth. Modular steel frame is considered very easy and practical due to its simplicity of cubical shape.

Sudut Code has higher floor elevation level to prevent any further damages cause by the flood

About the site
Stone Garden Citatah is one of the newest tourist attractions from the city of Bandung which was inaugurated in 2014
Stone Garden, or Geo Park Citatah is a large rock mountain. The mountain is a mountain of limestone. Stone Garden is located 900 meters above sea level with a land area of 2.5 hectares.
Archaeologists have estimated the age of the mountain at more than 27 million years. The mountain is also composed of coral animal fossils.

There are facilities in this tourist spot such as a canteen / shop, Café, Toilet, prayer room, Gazebo, and Information Center. However, not all of them have a proper conditions so that it is a challenge for designers to make complete facilities for visitors tourist attractions that can be increasingly known to the wider community

Task 2 is the task of designing a house with a certain character related to the profession of the owner. The previous studio students designed buildings with simple functions, in this assignment students designed buildings with relatively more complex activities and spaces. The purpose of this assignment is to train students to be able to designing a residential building based on a certain type of approach (Courtyard House, Compund House, Radiating house, Tower House and Elevated house)
