Allen sang tenor with the group until 1988. He has since been on six missionary trips to the Navajo Reservation and many revivals and solo singing dates. For the past 10 years he has served as Chaplain at a Developmental Disabilities Center in Kinston. He says, “Serving this special needs population has been one of the most challenging and rewarding positions I’ve ever been called to work in.” He and Glenna are celebrating 46 wonderful years together. He relates, “Both of my daughters have married singing preachers and have a boy and a girl each. My wife is retiring this January and plans to do some serious grand-parenting!”
Today he and his wife Cyndi are involved in pastoring, revivals and sing in the Augusta, GA area. Heaven Bound with Rick Busby singing tenor.
Taylor exclaims, “Century Two heard us sing with the Kingsmen and Gold City and started booking our dates. Then being a trio and singing at the National Quartet Convention was groundbreaking within itself. Our first concert at NQC was a humbling experience. Having all the groups and our fans from everywhere in one place; how awesome is that? When we sang “Canaanland” it was our introduction into the world of Gospel music. The night “Canaanland” won Song of the Year in 1982, we felt the open arms of our peers within Gospel music.” Lawrence left the group in 1992. His late wife passed away unexpectedly. Yet he continued to sing solo appearances and with Mended Wings during this time. He has since re-married and with wife Jamie, currently pastors at Bethany Baptist Church and continues to sing in revivals and for special occasions. Gibson states, “The Lord really used “Canaanland” to open every door for us. We had many top five or top 10 songs over the years, but “Canaanland” was always our most requested. It is amazing to see how the Lord used and is still using that song. To God be the glory. I guess if I had to pick one word to describe Heaven Bound it would be ministry. That was always our desire from the beginning just to magnify Him in some way through our songs and be a blessing to others on the journey.” Gibson left the group in 1995. Yet his involvement continues today teaching music in the school system. He continues to write music and sing in church and is active with his wife Bern and two children, Lauren and Hunt. His impact in Gospel music continues today as his songs are being recorded by numerous artists. As the original members left, others joined. Most noted was the addition of Rick Busby after Ham left. Busby came to the group after a stint with the Florida Boys. He quickly earned the respect of Heaven Bound fans and was richly loved by many. Busby left the group in 1993.

Craig Singletary joined as baritone with the Gibson departure. For a time Heaven Bound was a quartet with Ron Bright singing the bass notes while band members included Ken Eubanks Jr. on drums and Kevin Pulley on bass. After the departure of the original members, Eubanks worked to provide the same dedication to harmony, styling and ministry. In 2002, after 26 successful years, the group disbanded with heavy hearts. After countless awards as a group and individually over the years, the time had come to take on new ventures. During all these changes, the one constant original was Ken Eubanks on piano. He has been noted as one of the most exciting concert pianists in Gospel music. His style was true ‘camp meeting’ with a touch of class. Eubanks says, “I still think our Pentecostal background defined us as a group. Just like when Jeff wrote “Canaanland,” it become our song. It changed everything for us. I thought
