Unique in every way. The two sketch book collaborations between Simple Stories and Scrapbook Generation are unlike anything else available in the papercrafting field. What’s different? To start with, SG sketches are the only ones in the industry with complete dimensions and placements. Add in the fact that both books include color layout examples using one manufacturer’s collections exclusively, and you have Sketch Fusion and Sketch Magic. When Scrapbook Generation designers Allison Davis and Debbie Sanders were considering a new direction for their sketch books -including color examples -choosing the company to work with was an easy decision. “My mom and I were both instantly drawn to Simple Stories,” Allison said. “We use Simple Stories often in not just our store classes and kit clubs, but in our own personal scrapbooks as well. Being mother and daughter, I think it's in our genetic code that we aren't supposed to agree on things, but we do agree on Simple Stories and how much we love using their products. That, mixed with how our
customers were responding to classes, kits, and sketches based around their products, was just the natural evolvement of our relationship with Simple Stories to collaborate in some way.” Simple Stories designer Amber Crowell believes that the SG sketch style blends well with Simple Stories products. “Allison and Debbie's style is just perfectly Simple Stories,” she said. “There's no way to describe it. They just have this way of combining patterns, colors, papers and our elements to create an inspiring, yet simple creation. Allison and Debbie’s layouts are some of my favorites -- and they are a perfect combination with our Simple Stories products and coordinates.” Avid scrapbooker Janet, a Pennsylvania crafter known to many on national message boards as “cherrypicker,” is in total agreement. “When making page kits for scrapbooking later, I can just simply pull out one of these books, a Simple Stories collection, and I am good to go,” she said. “It simply does not get any easier or faster than that. What a huge timesaver!”
