About the Apothic
“It’s funny this thing called the beauty industry. If beauty is in the eye of the beholder, then how as a creator of products do you know exactly what the populous wants? Some follow popular trends and some take a stab in the dark and cross their fingers. I’ve always been a believer in creating classic pieces that have a real-time meaning. While creating this line I looked to the days of old when apothecaries provided recipes for monarchs that not only smelled divine, but had the ability to change their mood as well.
A chance encounter in a London bookstore led our founder to an unworldly discovery. An apothecary’s manual, lost to time, was discovered tucked upon a shelf and would become the inspiration for a collection of unique fragrances and amazing formulations that have taken consumers by storm. Sean creates each of the products with the utmost detailed attention. Not only do they smell amazing, but the formulas truly perform and care for the skin and body. Each scent has the ability to be layered and manages to capture an emotional experience or place from memories. Royal Apothic has quickly become one of the fastest growing beauty and fragrance brands in the US. With a dedicated cult of fans, the fragrances and products have become must-haves for the sophisticate wanting quality products in beautiful packaging. Whether bought for one’s self or given as a gift, the entire line is an exercise in modern indulgence.
What started with a classic line of luminaries and interior perfumes has now grown into a full fragrance house and a team of people I love working with to create products for the every day woman and chap. Royal Apothic is about loving and appreciating the nuances that make life easier and more enjoyable. Each fragrance tells a story and each product makes each day a little more exciting.
We launched our Conservatories collection a year ago and brought back the idea of vintage English florals to beautify the home and spirit. Then this year we created the Cream Creme and Bubble Cream collection to make shower time more fun and fruitful. The response has been overwhelming which inspired a whole new line of products we’re excited to launch late fall/early spring of 2015 and I’m so excited to take Royal Apothic fans on this journey with us. The truth is it’s the people that make this line so great. You talk, we listen and that’s the heart of Royal Apothic. Here’s to a great rest of the year and an exciting 2015! The Scents
Holland Park
This all pink floral is the most popular scent from the house of Royal Apothic and recently was named the ICMAD Fragrance of the Year (quite the prestigious honor, if we do say so ourselves). This beautiful scent was inspired by one of the most romantic and peaceful parks of central London with its larger than life chess set and roaming peacocks.
Cutting Garden This all white floral was inspired by a garden planted by Elizabeth I at Windsor Castle. Although originally planted to bloom year round, we tried to imagine what it would smell like if every plant bloomed at one time. The result? A fresh clean classic floral.
City Of Angels
Lemoncello
At four o’clock on Spring afternoons in Los Angeles, the Santa Ana winds blow through the canyons, mountains and valleys that comprise this city where dreams are made. They blow east, picking up ocean scents, through the Angeles National Forest where Eucalyptus grows wild, and then down through the Hollywood Hills where Night Blooming Jasmine lines the streets. This unique scent captures the essence of Spring afternoons in this magical city.
A favourite on warm summer nights, this delightful mix of sweet and sour seems to cool the balmy wind flowing over the land. Extract of: Lemoncello blends Meyer Lemon and Juicy Citrus with notes of Lily of the Valley. Lavender and Neroli sit atop a base of Ambergris.
Imperial Vanilla Although first introduced in Europe in the 16th century, it was not favoured in perfume until 1807 when a nobleman named Charles Greville successfully flowered a Vanilla Orchid plant in Paddington. While the Honorable Mr. Greville's cuttings went on to supply the botanic gardens of Paris and Antwerp, his appreciation and love of this mysterious species inspired our newest scent, Imperial Vanilla.
Terra Firma A sexy blend of Orange and Magnolia, with a hint of Sweet Geranium, Bay Rose, and Muguet. Terra Firma is one of our most popular fragrances for the home and body. Inherently earthy, with an eloquent base of Sandalwood and Green Moss, Terra Firma is an exquisitely woodsy blend.
Venetian Grove
Topiary
Behind a palatial villa in Santorini, Italy lies a grove where for centuries royalty has been known to frolic. It is in this magical place where the vines of Sweet Currant intertwine the roots of orange trees, the fragrance of the blossoms blending with the ripe fruit at its base. If you close your eyes, you can almost see the twinkle of lights and flicker of candles as the masked court takes the floor to dance under the stars.
Escape from the daily bustle of London lies behind the vine covered walls, as the fragrance captures the essence of a formal and classic English Garden. This scent was created to capture the private garden of our founder’s London home. This unique green fragrance blends Crisp Ivy and Grass with Rose and Hydrangea to perfectly capture a crisp english morning.
The Eau de Parfums
The keystone of The Classics collection is our best selling Eau de Parfum. Packaged in hand tied paper boxes, with our signature label placed askew, these beautiful vanity bottles have a cult-like following. Formulated with 18-20% oil concentrations, the long lasting scents are applied with the vintage atomizer and look perfect on any monarch’s dressing table.
The Mini Eau de Parfums Due to overwhelming request, we created the mini size Eau de Parfums that are perfect for trial or travel. Featuring the same formulation as our full size Eau de Parfums, these little darlings are perfect for your handbag.
The Hand Cremes
Our bestselling product responsible for putting us on the map as one of the fastest growing beauty brands. This formula took over three years to develop and provides perfect scent while never being slick or greasy. Packaged in vintage looking metal tubes, they’re made in small batches with micronized safflower oil to deeply hydrate while still being light to the touch. C. Our newest formulation, the Cleansing Body Scrubs came from fans’ overwhelming requests. This gentle cleanser features organic Walnut Shell to polish away and exfoliate dead skin cells giving you smoother skin in seconds. Paraben free, they each contain the perfect amount of scent.

He called it “The Closer”
“What about us,” fine gentleman would write. “Have you something for chaps,” or “Is a bloke expected to spray something called Cutting Garden?” were frequently heard. When he could take it no more, our founder, Sean O’Mara, went into the lab and toiled on a scent most suited for a perfect gentleman. It is with great excitement and exclamation that we announce the arrival of our first chap’s scent: Heroes & Aristocrats!
It all began shortly after the arrival of Royal Apothic in the United States. By post and email, tellie and telegram our fans begged our permission to wear our interior perfumes on their persons. “Just be patient,” we would reply as we rushed to create a line of very special perfumes. With much acclaim they debuted and satisfied a large portion of our fans, but the requests would soon resume. The Knowledge The second scent to come from the labs at Royal Apothic captures an essence that is essential London. 320 routes, 25,000 streets and 20,000 landmarks all in the six mile radius of Charing Cross must be memorized before a taxi driver is said to possess “The Knowledge.” And one must pass the test before ever being allowed behind the wheel for paying fares. Scientific studies have proven that the process of obtaining The Knowledge actually increases working brain matter and the process takes between 2 to four years of study. 3 years were spent completing our newest scent, and while wearing it won’t increase working brain matter, it is guaranteed to attract the attention of those around you.
