Throughout the fall, winter, and spring, Seward stays busy with fun festivals and events. Find the perfect one-of-akind gift or souvenir, enjoy a delicious meal, and take in the sights, all within walking distance!

The holiday celebrations continue through the winter with New Year’s Eve and Valentine’s Day festivities, making Seward the perfect destination for a winter weekend away.

Plan ahead to celebrate our annual local events, like the end-of-summer Seward Music and Arts Festival that brings ar tists, makers, vendors, as well as delicious food and enter tainment to historic downtown Seward.

If you’re feeling brave, join us in January for the Seward Polar Bear Jump where costumed men and women jump into the frigid waters of Resurrection Bay for a good cause, the American Cancer Society (p. 79). The Mermaid Festival (p. 77), celebrated along with Harbor Opening the third weekend of May, brings vendors, makers, and musicians to Seward. Mermaids and pirates aren’t limited to the harbor, though, with celebrations extending throughout town all festival long.
