ATHLETIC TRAINING ROOM The athletic training room staff at Sewanee is housed in the Fowler Sport & Fitness Center and consists of three certified athletic trainers who use a 2,000 square foot treatment and rehabilitation center to service the nearly 400 student-athletes in 24 varsity sports. The head athletic trainer is Ray Knight who is in his tenth year in this position at Sewanee after serving as an assistant athletic trainer here on the Mountain in 2000-01. Knight is assisted by Danielle Green and Meagan Bevins. Sewanee offers the latest in: ATHLETIC TRAINING EQUIPMENT • ultrasound • electrical muscle stimulators • whirlpools Assistant Athletic Trainer Meagan Bevins, Head Athletic Trainer Ray Knight, and Assistant Athletic Trainer Daniell Green.

REHABILITATION EQUIPMENT • free weights • stationary bikes • mini trampolines • various other modalities

ATHLETIC WEIGHT ROOM Josh Taylor serves as head strength coach for nearly 400 Sewanee varsity athletes competing in 24 varsity sports. In his fourth year at Sewanee, Taylor also serves as the football linebackers coach. The 50' x 40', 2,000 square foot weight room is located in the Fowler Sport and Fitness Center. Weight training is an important and vital part of the athletes’ overall fitness program here at Sewanee. The Fowler Center also has an exercise area with handball and racquetball courts and a variety of exercise machines. WEIGHT EQUIPMENT • 10 Olympic platforms • 10 bench press/free weight • 10 incline bench/free weight • 5 utility benches • 15 different hammer, cybex and body master machines • Dumbells ranging from 3 lbs. to 120 lbs.
