Junior Elizabeth Verow (Barnt Green, England) picked up a straight set victory over Stefanie Ton in the No. 3 position. Senior Slavina Kaplonska (Sofia, Bulgaria) won a hard-fought match that saw the first set go to a tiebreak and the third go to extra games in No. 6 action. In No. 2, Verow and Michelle Weerasinghe (Edina, Minn.) held an early lead, but could not hold off the pair of Emani Decquir and Ton to get the second win.
