The Gospel of John is sort of an "appetizer," a glimpse into the Bible. After the people begin to see God's truths in it, their appetites will be whetted to the extent that they will be willing to buy their own Bibles. (If anyone owns a Bible it is all right for them to bring it to the study.) 3. Good News For You The purpose of these seven lessons based on the Gospel of John is to bring people to authentic salvation. Each lesson will take an hour or less to complete. Each participant needs a Gospel of John and a copy of this booklet. After a church is born, the members, having been brought to salvation through this study, can then use it as a tool for evangelism. Every believer can easily use it to bring others to salvation. Contents of Good News For You: Lesson 1 - Man's Problem Lesson 2 - God's Solution For Man's ProblemLesson 3 Man's ResponseLesson 4 - A Man Who Wanted New Life Lesson 5 - One Way to Heaven Lesson 6 - The Bridge of Life Lesson 7 - The Road to Life When using Good News For You by indirect methods, there are some things worth noting: | The planter must know that the Word of God has power to bring conversion. | This method is reproducible by new converts. | The principle that everybody is somebody is learned early, thus preparing for a new church composed of priests. | People learn self-feeding from the Scriptures.
