Masthead: Scream is a British premiere horror magazine published bimonthly. The font is red and dripping to symbolise blood and gore relating to the content which the magazine focuses on.

Cover lines: The cover lines are anchored with an image to give the reader a preview of what is inside and draws more attention to the content and genre of the magazine. They cover lines don’t interact with the main image but instead put into a neat sidebar.

Main Image: is a still taking from the main focus of the cover which is film ‘Evil Dead’. It is eyecatching and creepy to match the theme of ‘Scream’ as a magazine. Also uses direct mode of address looking straight at the reader, encouraging you to look at the magazine.

Colour Scheme: is predominantly white and black to contrast, with accents of red which connotes blood/danger and dark green to connote evil. Also there cover lines are yellow to draw your attention to them.

Main Cover line: is in the same font as what evil dead used for film posters, trailers etc. so that the audience recognises the film as a brand. The coverline is also in white to contrast with the dark image.
