living in Spain Palomares

Listed under Palomares on a recently browsed web site of our region, there was a note stating that there was no history of news for the town. If only that were the case many may think!! With talk of the atomic bomb incident back in our headlines yet again, the continued story would cast a shadow over many a neighbourhood, but not so Palomares. This is a lovely peaceful town full of engaging and cheerful people and

certainly a thriving community. In fact the perfect place to visit if you just want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the coast, sit back and relax. It has everything you need in terms of shops and a fine selection of café’s including, La Dolce Casa where you’ll receive the finest Scottish hospitality. Word has it that Poli Diaz was born in Palomares … but that is a whole other story.

Our feature on The Heroine of Palomares last month included a photo of Palomares that in fact was Bedar and not Palomares at all. Credit for the photo should have been given to Tony from TLImages. Tony and his wife Lynne supply high quality photographs for all occasions, framed or unframed and also produce handcrafted photo greetings and gift cards, as well as high quality individual business cards. They are

happy to take commissions for weddings, birthdays, communions and fiestas, and additionally do quite a lot of work with property advertising, for rental and sales. They offer a photography repair service, fixing existing photos that have suffered the ravages of time. Prices are competitive, and the finished products of the highest quality.
