We weaned them on September 15. The bulls have been fed a 46 and a 48 mega cal grower ration consisting of hay, alfalfa, oats, rolled corn, and full energy beans. We plan to take the bulls home and feed them free of charge until April 1, so we can finish developing them. At that time we will then deliver the bulls free of charge for those who live in South Dakota and adjoining states. We are willing to work with those who want to purchase bulls that live a greater distance away. Please let us know before the sale so we can formulate a plan. THE SENN RED ANGUS GUARANTEE AND INSURANCE The bulls will be insured for one full year with Martin-Trudeau Insurance at no cost to the buyer. Aster 432 is a Shoco Data daughter out of Aster 175. We added her to our donor program in 2014. At that time she boasted an MPPA of 105 and had 9 natural calves with a WW ratio of 106. Her daughters exhibit great chest floor depth, good bone and the docility we are striving for. There will be more ET calves coming from her in the future. Her progeny should enhance most any program. She is 15 years old this year and is still in production. To further exclaim the longevity here, her dam Aster 175 lived to the age of 16. Aster 432 is the Donor dam of lots 1 through 7.

When I see 8116, I see a bull with depth and capacity. One who can add hard pounds to Red Angus cattle and make a classy set of females. His picture might not do him justice. 8107 is one of my personal favorites this year. He is really gentle and wants to hang out with you in the bull pen. He has lots of style and his daughters should be nice. He is another free moving individual. Keep in mind, his sisters were born between 78 and 89 lbs. This calf was born with ease from a 1200# recip cow. Lot 6 and Lot 7 are full flush brothers. This Up Front mating really clicked here. 8288 is nice in his kind and is a functionally free moving calf. The Up Front calves are becoming some of our favorites. Our Up Front daughters have a bright future here as they have an unordinary phenotype and growth. We feel 806 could be one of the best calves we have ever raised. He is so deep bodied; we had to name him THE WALL. Calves like 806 are the very reason we will use Seneca 731C more in the future. Commercial cattlemen have a look at this young sire. His mother 335 has stuck AI for us for the last 3 years including this one, so fertility and performance are in this great package. 815 lost his mother 201Z, to lightning strike early this summer. She was truly a great cow and was the easiest fleshing cow on the place. He was an orphan out in the pasture most of the summer and endured a lot. So we named this fella ENDURANCE. He still did pretty well! There are two great cow families in this pedigree- Basin Primrose 0T43 and Aster 175. 815 should be a great influence on any operation. We are grateful that 201Z has left us with two young daughters in our herd to move forward with.

We think 818 is a real stout and balanced kind of a bull and he’s getting better and better as he matures. He is a very likeable and functional calf out of a bigger easy fleshing cow. These are the first calves out of our Crump Rollin Deep 685 bull.
