tainment that included a colourful hat parade. Taking home first prize was 86 year old Edna Astle, whose bright green bonnet spread a message of good cheer to her fellow residents. Edna moved to Chancel-
lor Park nine years ago with her husband Sam. “My daughter actually moved here first and we were so impressed with her unit and the facilities that we ended up following her,” Edna said. “Everybody is so friendly here at Chancellor Park. Sam unfortunately passed away two years ago, but the support from staff and fellow residents has been really wonderful,” Edna said. With four children, nine grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren, Edna admits that she doesn’t have too much time participate in the various social activities that are run around the resort. “I play indoor bowls twice a week and I usually attend a few events each month but my family keeps me busy,” she said.
