China IC Industry Development Targets Renewed and Repurposed Fabs By 2011, the China IC market will grow to $85 billion with domestic production expected to reach $8.2 billion, about 10% (iSupply, IC Insights, CSIA). It is estimated that 30% of China capital investment was met by the secondary market in 2009. With the shut off of more than 50 fab lines around the world in recent years and more manufacturing these industry changes and become the largest buyer of refurbished equipment in the world, relying upon the secondary market and service providers to drive much of their future manufacturing capacity goals.
