Using our product pages Each product chart has basic product packaging and shipping information, absorbency data and incinerator information to help you more fully evaluate that product.

Terminology
Sorbents
Oil Only
A material used to soak up leaks, drips or spills.
A sorbent material, usually white in color, which is designed to soak up oil but not water. Typically used in outdoor environments such as spills on open water.
Universal A sorbent material, usually gray in color, which is designed to soak up oil, water and most chemicals. Typically, these are meltblown sorbents which are used indoors in many different MRO applications.
Hazmat A sorbent material which is designed to soak up many different types of hazardous chemicals. They are usually yellow in color to denote the hazardous liquids they can soak up and make sure they are disposed of properly. Typically used in specialty applications such as soaking up battery acid. Coverstock
General Purpose A sorbent material, usually gray in color, which is designed to soak up oil and water but not aggressive acids or caustics. Typically, these are cellulose based sorbents which are used indoors in many different MRO applications.
Coverstock Typically a nonwoven fiber that is added to the outer layers of a sorbent to help increase the durablility and strength of the product.
