A FINELY CARVED BELLE EPOQUE CABINET BY GUÉRET FRÈRES French, 3rd quarter 19th century, fruit wood and elm. 120"h. 62"w. 19"d. Estimate: $6,000 - $9,000 The Guéret Brothers created intricately carved Renaissance Revival furniture influenced by Louis XIV, XV, and XVI styles. Guéret Frères Company started in 1853 and produced furnishings through the end of the 19th century. From 1855 onwards they exhibited regularly at the great international exhibitions including The Exposition Universelle of 1855, Paris where the brothers won a first-class medal, and The Exposition Universelle of 1867, Paris. Provenance: Ex. St. Louis Cardinals owner Fred Saigh passed down through descent.

AN IMPORTANT YONGZHENG MARK AND PERIOD DUCAI BOWL China, 18th century, porcelain. Five color vessel with lightly everted rim, interior banding of cobalt scrollwork, and well executed floral well. The exterior walls of alternating bat and draping fungi form patterns all executed in underglazed blue and colorful polychrome over glaze. The underside with unglazed footing and 6 character Yongzheng reign mark inside double circles in cobalt underglaze. Estimate: $4,000 - $7,000
