About the Artist: Born into Russian nobility as a count, Alexander Rudniev attended the School of Fine Art in Kiev and later Academie Julien after his arrival to Paris in 1901 where he later became heavily involved in the Parisian avante-garde movement and known as Serge Ferat under the influence and association of Pablo Picasso.
