THINGS THAT GO BUMP IN THE NIGHT

Earlier this year at All Secure Self Storage in New Zealand, Noel, the branch manager, arrived at work and noticed that his “superb merchandising display” had suffered a malfunction.

A small 5m bubble wrap roll was sitting on the floor and he thought that one of the staff had knocked it off the shelf and left it in on the floor.

To find the culprit Noel checked the camera footage to see who it was. A staff member had arrived early, though on the recording they were on their phone, making coffee and not in the vicinity. Not willing to give up, Noel kept watching the recording and found the event at 02:11am, when no one else was in the building.

Noel watched the video and saw the bubble wrap spinning on its axis in a plastic tray and flying off the wall to land on the floor. The bubble wrap then slowly moved for three minutes and finally came to a stop (see top three images to left).

Noel looked at it from all angles and analysed the footage, he showed the other staff trying to find an explanation, and they all laughed it off, though no one understood how it happened. They looked at the hanging signs around the display and there was no motion at the time, so it couldn’t have been wind or seismic activity.

Curious what could it be? A Poltergeist? A Ghost? A restless soul? It is a mystery that’s for sure

At All Secure Self Storage – they really do store almost anything. Including the departed…

It happened again several days later during the day time. Once again caught on camera when a staff member was at the front desk. The bubble wrap flies off the shelf and the staff member who was taking a booking immediately rises in surprise (see two images below).
