NEW: Book Club Conversation with Author John A. List
On Thursday, April 6 at 3:30p.m. CST, join us for a virtual conversation with The Voltage Effect author John A. List.
John A. List is an American economist known for establishing field experiments as a tool in empirical economic analysis. He works at the University of Chicago where from 2012 until 2018 he served as Chairman of the Department of Economics. He is currently the Kenneth C. Griffin Distinguished Service Professor, In addition to his university career, List served as the chief economist for taxi company Uber, and later for the similar company Lyft.
The Voltage Effect: How to Make Good Ideas Great and Great Ideas Scale examines the science of scaling and how, by understanding the science of scaling, we can drive change in our schools, workplaces, communities, and society at large.

During the virtual book club discussion, List will give a brief presentation on The Voltage Effect and his work, and then open the conversation to a group discussion. Those who did not request a copy of the book from the Society of Self Fellows are still welcome to participate in the conversation.
