2022 Symposium

SAVE THE DATE The Self Graduate Symposium will be held Friday, April 22 and Saturday, April 23 in Lawrence, Kansas. More details to follow.

The annual Symposium brings together Self Graduate Fellows, members of the Society of Self Fellows, and friends of the fellowship for meetings, networking, and celebration. The Symposium includes the Board of Governors annual meeting, alumni career panel, and reception and dinner. If you are traveling to Lawrence from out of town, you are encouraged to make hotel arrangements early.

SSF Poster Session

The SSF Poster Session has been rescheduled to the start of the spring 2022 semester. Stay tuned for more details.

Ibram X. Kendi

Rescheduled from March 2020, Dr. Ibram X. Kendi, one of America’s foremost historians and leading antiracist voices, presented “How To Be An Anticracist: A conversation with Ibram X. Kendi.” Several Society members and the current Fellows were among an audience of 1,500 at the Lied Center on Thursday, October 7. Dr. Kevin Willmott, KU Professor of Film and Academy Award-winning film director and screenwriter, hosted Kendi on stage.
