We hope Seesaw has helped you facilitate joyful learning in your classroom with innovative ways to reach all of your students.
If you are an educator that is planning on attending ISTE 2025, uses Seesaw in your school and you want to show off your content creating skills, apply to be in the Seesaw Showdown! The Showdown is a friendly challenge where two educators create activities side-by-side. You’ll have 10 minutes to build anything you’d like! The showdown focuses on creativity, having fun, and showing off your Seesaw skills!
Sixteen finalists will be selected to participate in the Seesaw Booth at ISTE 2025 based on the Seesaw Showdown Application instructions included in this packet. Each finalist will also be featured on the Seesaw website in May 2025, and their completed activity will be highlighted in the Seesaw Community Library after ISTE.
Seesaw Showdown finalists will each receive a Seesaw Showdown Hat and shirt, and each round winner will leave with a bag of Seesaw Swag and a chance to compete on Tuesday’s final round at 4:00 pm, July 1, 2025.

1. Live competitions will take place in the Seesaw booth #2128 at ISTE June 30 - July 1, 2025.
2. Two competitors will go head-to-head in each round.
3. Competitors will be permitted to select the topic and grade level for their activity idea tailored to elementary education.
4. Each Potential Finalist will have 10 minutes to create their activity on their selected topic.
5. At your booth presentation station, you will be equipped with a laptop and a new, pre-created Seesaw account equipped with all of Seesaw’s premium instructional tools to curate your unique activity.
6. Each Potential Finalist will then have 5 minutes to explain their activity to the audience and to the Seesaw judges.
7. The audience will vote to determine the winner of each round - who gets the Seesaw Swag Pack.
8. The winner’s activity and presentation will receive a score based on the live voting rubric. The score from the Seesaw judges will be the sole determining factor for which head-to-head winners will progress to the final championship round with an opportunity to win the Grand Prize for their school. The final round participants will be notified by 1:30pm July 1, 2025 by phone and by email.
9. For all live competitions, including the final round, a Potential Finalist must check in at least 10 minutes before their designated competition time. Failure to do so will result in forfeiture. If a Potential Finalist forfeits, the remaining Potential Finalist must still: participate in the creation of an activity, present the activity to the crowd, and be judged by Seesaw judges using the live voting rubric.
To maintain the spirit of competition, Sponsor may select an audience member who has previously used Seesaw (“Stand-In Participant”) to compete against the remaining Potential Finalist by creating an activity, presenting their activity to the crowd, and being judged by the crowd. The Stand-In Participant will NOT be eligible to move onto the final round or eligible to win the grand prize. Sponsor may, in its sole discretion, provide a participation award to the Stand-In Participant.
• Round Winners: Each winner of the individual rounds will receive a Seesaw Swag Pack.
• Finalists: The two Potential Finalists with the highest scores from the Seesaw judges, based on the live voting rubric, will advance to the final round. Each of these Finalists will receive a $100 Amazon gift card for personal use.
• Grand Prize: The winner of the final round will receive an iPad Cart with 10 iPads awarded to their school.
• Daily iPad Drawing: Audience members who participate as judges will be entered into a daily iPad drawing (must be present at 4:45 PM on each day’s drawing to win).
• Featured Activities: All 16 Potential Finalist activities will be showcased in the Seesaw Community Library after ISTE.
Sponsor reserves the right to determine the specific details of all prizes. No cash or other prize substitution shall be permitted except at Sponsor’s discretion. The prizes are nontransferable. Any and all prize-related expenses, including without limitation any and all federal, state, and/or local taxes, shall be the sole responsibility of Winner. No substitution of prize or transfer/assignment of prize to others or request for the cash equivalent by Winner is permitted. Acceptance of prize constitutes permission for Sponsor to use Winner’s name, likeness, entry, and social media username for purposes of advertising and trade without further compensation unless prohibited by law.

Winners of each round of the Competition (see section 5) will be determined by audience vote, and by Seesaw judges:
1. The audience at the booth will serve as judges for the immediate round and will determine who receives the Seesaw Swag Pack. Audience members that participate in judging will receive a raffle ticket to vote only if they are present for the start of the showdown. Audience members who arrive after the competition begins are not eligible to be a judge for that round.
2. After both Potential Finalists present, the audience members selected to be judges will cast their votes by submitting their raffle ticket.
3. The Seesaw team will tally the audience votes and announce the round winner immediately. In the event that the audience vote results in a tie, the Seesaw judges will judge both Potential Finalists activities and presentations with the LIVE voting rubric. The score assigned in the event of a tie will be used to determine both the winner of the round (who gets the Swag Pack) and the score used to determine if the Potential Finalist makes it to the final round.
4. The winner of each round, as selected by the audience, will be judged using the LIVE voting rubric by two Seesaw judges. The winners with the two highest scores assigned to them by the Seesaw judges will compete in the championship round to win the Grand Prize for their school at the 4:00 PM competition on July 1, 2025.
5. The two Potential Finalists with the highest live voting rubric scores across all rounds will be notified by phone and text by 1:30 PM on July 1, 2025, to inform them that they will advance to the final round. Potential Finalists selected for the final round must confirm participation by 2:00 PM (confirmation must be made over the phone, by text, or by visiting the Seesaw booth) and must be at the booth by 3:40 PM. The final winner will be announced during the 4:00 PM competition on July 1, 2025.
6. The championship round winner will be determined by audience judge voting, as explained in subsections 1-3 of this section 7). In the event of a tie, the Seesaw judges will score both Potential Finalists activities and presentations with the LIVE voting rubric and the winner will be determined based on the highest score.
Sponsor shall have no liability for a Potential Finalist’s failure to receive notices due to spam, junk e-mail, poor or no cell reception, or other security settings or for the Potential Finalist’s provision of incorrect or otherwise non-functioning contact information. If a Potential Finalist cannot be contacted, is ineligible, fails to claim the prize within the required time period, or fails to show up for their competition slot, they may be disqualified and an alternate Potential Finalist selected.
