Anointed Luke 4:18-19

“Word” in Luke 1:38 and “thing” in Luke 2:15 are rhema in the Greek— which means the spoken Word of God revealed and alive in me. When this poem (and song) came to me, it sounded like a chorus, and I kept waiting for the verses. But Father showed me on November 5th that He wants this song to be sung by the individual or congregation as their response to His speaking to them through a rhema from the Word or a manifestation of the Holy Spirit (tongues and interpretation or a prophecy). He will sing the “verses,” and this “chorus” will be the people’s response. Amen.

Christ-like One
John 14:12
All He thinks and says and does, He now can do through me. I’ve been made a Christ-like one in ev’ry way, you see. I am not my own: He bought me with His blood. Now I will think and say and do His Word today. I’m to do the works He did and greater, greater ones -Heal the sick and raise the dead, feed hungry, hungry ones, Calm the angry storm and set the captive free, But the greatest work of all -- to make you "family." I’m to tell you, "Jesus died and ’rose, He arose again! He’s redeemed you from the law of death, the curse of sin. Just believe His Word, confess Him as your Lord, Then you will be made new and have His life within. "Now you’re in the Family because you’re born again, In Covenant with Father God through Jesus Christ, the Lamb. You’ve a right to all He has;; you’re joint-heir with the King! Come Out of the Shadow From in the house of David, the seed of Abraham, Immanuel was born that night in tiny Bethlehem. I promised you a Saviour, Messiah, and King; I sent My Son, Jesus the Christ, new life for you to bring. Come out of the shadow and walk in the Light! Come out of the shadow and walk in the Light! New Covenant people, redeemed by His blood, Come out of the shadow and walk in the Light! If you’re a child of Almighty God, a joint-heir with His Son, You’re in Covenant relationship through what His blood has done. The Old one’s gone, it has been fulfilled—“It’s finished,” Jesus cried! Just stand there silently, and in God’s rest remain. Jehovah Nissi is His name, Defender and Deliverer He’ll be! He’s never lost a battle yet, and He will fight for thee!

Sin’s ultimate dominion was enthroned in hell’s dark grave, but Jesus’ Resurrection proved He could not stay sin’s slave! Because He ‘rose triumphant with the keys of victory, He holds the door to freedom opened wide each day for me! If Jesus could not stay the captive of sin’s penalty, then neither can I stay enslaved by sin’s authority! As I depend upon His Resurrection life within, the Pow’r that raised Him from the dead delivers me from sin! When I decide to let His Word reign in supremacy, there is no sin... there is no chain that can imprison me; and as I choose to let His Word continue inside me, then His disciple I will be, and I’ll be free indeed!

GOD’S
PERSPECTIVE "I’ve got Him where I want Him!" satan said when Jesus died. "He won’t be both’ring me again;; at last, He’s crucified! Just look at Him -- the Son of God -- He’s hanging on a cross! Now ev’ryone’s deserted Him, and all He owned is lost! "He’s covered with disease. He’s laden down and black with sin. Oh, what a fool I’ve made of Him! He lost! He didn’t win! Let’s see... I’ll take Him back with me into the pit of hell... Wait ‘til my men see what I got and hear what I will tell!"
But Father God had different plans and through His Son had said, "I’ll die, but after three days, I’ll be raised up from the dead." Down deep inside, God smiled with joy, while watching what they’d done....... For He could see the empty tomb, the keys, the rising sun! The enemy may laugh at you and say, "I’ve got you now! The things you thought you heard God say just didn’t work somehow. Now ev’ryone is laughing, and they’re saying you’re deceived. You went too far with that ‘faith stuff’ -- the lies that you believed!" Just press-in closer to your God. Stay safely in His hand. He hasn’t changed a word He said, nor altered what He planned. Ol’ Noah did, and Abraham... Jairus pressed-in, too... There’s Daniel, Joseph, Joshua... just to name a few. So keep your eyes on what He sees and echo what you hear, Then you will be protected as they laugh and scoff and jeer. God hasn’t finished what He started out to do for you! Now trust His love and know that ev’ry word He said.......He’ll do! The enemy will see and in frustration he will say, "I wish I’d never messed with her [or him] -- how I regret that day!" But you’ll say, "See, I told ya! I’m a winner! I can’t lose! Now SCAT in Jesus’ name! It’s God’s perspective that I choose!"

GRACKLES John 16:33
Have you ever seen the grackle birds out on the ground? Have you ever watched them chatterin’ and struttin’ around? They’re always pickin’ at each other, tryin’ to start a fight, insistin’ on their own way, like they have a right. They’re even meddlin’ in another’s bus’ness, keepin’ them uptight. They’re just jealous little busybodies, mornin’ ’til night.
Now compare them with a harmless and a peaceful dove, aware of who he is and of his Maker’s love. We are to be as wise as serpents and as harmless as doves, aware of who we are in Christ, aware of His love; And we don’t have to get our way, retaliate, or push an’ shove. There’s a peace that passes understanding wrapped in His love.
In the world where we are living, there are grackle birds, too. They’re the people who are backbiting and talkin’ ’gainst you. But if you know that you are doin’ what the Word says to do, and if you know that you are doin’ just what God told you to, it doesn’t matter what the people say about you in town. Just love ’em and forgive. Don’t let the grackles get you down.

Mark 5:24-34; Acts 3:1-10
There was a woman in the Bible, who had been sick for twelve long years; And she had seen many physicians – she was so torn by her pain and fears! But then... she heard about a man named Jesus – the Healer from the town of Galilee! She said, “If I can touch His garment, I know, I know I will be free!” I found the cure – His name is Jesus... The Great Physician everywhere! You want to know where He has His office? It is right here! Praise God! He’s here! And it is time for your appointment, So don’t be late, or cancel... please – For Jesus is your Balm in Gilead: He is the Cure for all disease! There was a man by the gate called Beautiful, who had to beg for everything he had. He had been lame right from his mother’s womb – he never walked, nor leaped, nor ran. But then... along came John and Peter; and when he begged them for their gold, They told him, “All you need is Jesus – and in His name, Arise! You’re whole!” I found the cure – His name is Jesus... The Great Physician everywhere! You want to know where He has His office? It is right here! Praise God! He’s here! I Just Know ! I don’t know how believin’ in Jesus’ blood that He shed on Calvary Sets me free from sin and death, and gives me life eternally... I don’t know how believin’ He arose again gives me the victory... I don’t know just how He does it – I just know! I don’t know how believin’ He took my pain, disease, and infirmity Makes by body well and whole, and gives me health for all to see... I don’t know how believin’ He supplies my needs gives me prosperity... I don’t know just how He does it – I just know! I don’t know how believin’ what He says to me more than what I can hear ’n feel ’n see Brings His spoken Word into reality... I just know the difference every day and I walk by faith – the only way... I don’t know just how He does it – I just know! I just know I believe my Father! I just know I believe His Word! I just know I trust His love for me since I made Jesus LORD! I don’t know just how He does it – I just know that I just know! I don’t know just how He does it – I just know!

I Know You’ve Got Me

I Walk in Love

Love Did It Just for Me At creation, Jesus was with God to create all we see; But to come to earth to ransom man, a servant He must be. So, He left His place of glory, set His face for Calvary, And was made in likeness of a man. Love made Him come for me. In the garden, there was agony – He was God’s precious Son;; And He knew that He must be made sin... He knew what must be done. Yet, He saw it was the only way redemption could be won. It was Love’s consent for me to die – Love said, “Thy will be done.” When I read about His power that had calmed the angry sea... How He healed the sick, and raised the dead, and set the captive free... Then I saw – He had the power to come down from that tree! And I knew that it was love – not nails – that held Him there for me! Father, I’ve believed that Jesus died and ‘rose again for me. I’ve confessed Him as my only Lord and giv’n my all to Thee. If You loved me so much then You’d give Your only Son to die, How much more I know You love me now that Your own child am I! And as Your child, I have relationship within Your family. If I slip, I regain fellowship by saying, “Forgive me.” Jesus Christ poured out His blood to give me new identity! Heav’nly Father, I’m so very glad Love did it just for me!

My Petition I made out a list of my desires and my needs, And I found in God’s Word what He had said about these. Then I got down to pray...my petition to make, And I came before God, of His wealth to partake. In my mind’s eye, I saw a large conference room there And a table... with God at the end... in a chair. Then Jesus came in, and He spoke lovingly,,, And He sat at God’s right...Intercessor to be. But then... Someone came in that I did not expect! “Father, where will He sit? There’s no chair at Your left.” He just spoke to the Others, very cordial, you see, And He walked ‘round the table, and He came up to me. He pulled up a chair... and put His arm around me, And said, “Don’t be afraid! I will speak now for thee... For I’ve been here before, and I know what to say... And I tell you right now.......We will get these today!” Oh, the scriptures came fast of what the Spirit would be... How He’d take of the Word and reveal it to me... The Great Exchange Led into the wilderness... now I don’t have to be. Depressed in dark Gethsemane... now I don’t have to be. For three days, He was down in hell... now I don’t have to be. It’s the great exchange, and He did it just for me! He took all my sinfulness that I might righteous be. He took away the doubt and fear... now I have victory. He took away the curse of death... gives life eternally. It’s the great exchange, and He did it just for me! He took all the sickfulness that I might healthy be. He took all the poverty that I might wealthy be. He took the curse of the broken law, paid the ransom price for me. It’s the great exchange, and He did it just for me! The Table When I sit before my Father, and I hold the bread and wine in remembrance of what Jesus did and survey all that’s mine... It’s a Covenant with Father God, and it’s better than the ‘old’ – all I have is God’s... all He has is mine... sweetest story ever told! Broken bread speaks of His Body and the bleeding stripes He bore... how He took all sickness and disease... gives healing evermore! And the wine speaks of His crimson blood that He shed for all my sin... how He died and went to hell for me... my redemption thus to win! For three days, He suffered agony... satan thought he had Him chained! Then the Court of Heav’n said, “Justified!” By the Spirit – born again! And it also says He ’rose again, my High Priest now is He! In His death, He was my substitute! This... the table means to me.

Safe in the union with Him, by Him, in Him. It is knowing that my Father surely is Who He says He is. Dwelling in the secret place of the Most High God, my Lord... being sheltered under His wings... safe...from the storm. By the Word of my Father hidden deep in my heart, real to me... Now I openly trust Him, knowing His love for me... walking free.

When You Pray Now it’s time to pray, child, fellowship with God. You can stand before Him, righteous in His Son. All the old is passed away; you have been made new; You’re His child, and now your Father wants to talk with you. Stand there bold in Jesus’ name—bought with His own blood. You have the faith to take what’s yours, promised in His Word. Hold it up before Him, child; show Him what you’ve read. He is God, He cannot lie! He’ll do just what He said! Now be still and listen.......He will talk to you. He will speak of secrets and His love for you. He will show you of His Word and of things to come. Thank You for this fellowship...and love Him and His Son.

God whispered in my heart, and He revealed His will for me. He gave me the desire, and then He said so tenderly, “Just ask Me for the heart’s desire I’ve placed inside of you, And you’ll receive—there’s nothing that’s too hard for Me to do!” Then came the joy—the joy unspeakable, complete and full in me! I’M GLAD, SO VERY GLAD I’m glad -- so very glad -that I was supple in God’s hand, and stayed there as He skillfully prepared me for His man. He promised that the preciousness the prize’s worth would be would far excel the purchase price -and that, exceedingly! He said that I must patient be and trust enough to wait, while He made sure I would endure and not manipulate. I watched as He prepared me to receive His very best. He made the changes that were needed, helped me pass each test. He showed me habits to develop for my coming days; and through His Word, He taught me how to do His works and ways. And when I was complete in Him and passed His final test; He said, “You’re ready for My man, and he’s the very best!” He then released me from His hand and sang my birthday song. His man rejoiced to see “the one” he’d waited for so long. Today, I’m glad -- so very glad -to stand here as your bride; so honored to be one with you and walk close by your side. © 06/12/06.
