Lighthouse Point Park at Ponce Inlet allows fishing from the long pier or perch yourself on the rocky coast of the jetty and be surprised at what you reel in! It’s located at the end of the peninsula on one of the best surfing beaches in the world. Admission $5 per car. Dawn to dusk. 5000 S. Atlantic, Ponce Inlet.

Tuscawilla Park is located smack in the middle of the city and if you love playing with Frisbees – and who doesn’t? – this is where you will want to be. This disc golf course is located in the middle of a preserve and has all the trappings necessary to play with your Frisbee your way. FREE. Dawn to dusk, 1000 Orange Ave., Daytona Beach. DeLeon Springs State Park was first used 6,000 years ago by Native Americans. You can follow in their footsteps on a hot day with a dip in the cool water. The springs are always a refreshing 72 degrees. The kids will love it! $5 per vehicle. 8 a.m. – 6 p.m., year round, 386-985-4212.

Surf Fishing is a great way to enjoy the beach and catch your dinner! Reeling in things like Whiting and Flounder are the norm here. Watch some of the ‘regulars’ to learn the technique, then give it a whirl. You can surf fish anywhere along the Volusia County Coast. $5 for Beach Parking. Dawn to Dusk.
