KM-139. Cartwheel luster on satin-smooth fields

with only the faintest of bagmarks on obverse, second highest grade in NGC census. NGC #2810343-001. Estimate: $150-$225.

Lightly rainbow toned over muted luster, light smoothing on leaves above trunk of tree. NGC #4660443003. Estimate: $150-$225.

bold strike with slightly crude rims (as made, steel-gray toning and hairlines on high points on obverse. NGC #5846759-001. Estimate: $200-$300.

Crude strike with flatness at top on obverse, weak leaves and die-crack on reverse, deeply rainbow toned all over, still a competent example for this scarce date. NGC #2814369004. Estimate: $125-$200.

Rather lustrous for the grade, with light rainbow toning around details, minor die-porosity, tops at NGC by two grades. NGC #5846759-010. Estimate: $200-$300.

PINTO M. in reference to the coffee estates of Francisco Pinto, both deeply impressed on obverse of light-colored host with full details outside the countermarked areas, with the exception of the date, which is clear despite being overmarked (not mentioned on label). Plated in Russell Rulau’s Latin American Tokens, 2nd edition (2000). NGC #5846759-005. Estimate: $150-$225.

in incuse box above 1-over-2 denomination on obverse and Bourbon arms on reverse, made from a US Seated Liberty half dime (1800s), very rare. KM-unl. 1.08 grams. Fine with mottled

toning and spot of orange encrustation, old scratches on obverse, small square hole near edge at top. Odd design with oversized arms on reverse and punched marks on obverse believed to denote a 1/2-real denomination within a series that also includes 10 and 20 centavos on US dimes and Spanish colonial 2 reales respectively, the highest denomination showing a clear DE MAYARI below the arms. Estimate: $700-$1,000.
