SOUTHEAST DISTRICT UPDATES If you attended the 2016 SED Convention at Auburn University, please fill out the following Google Form. This form is for feedback and opinions on SED 2016. Your feedback will help the SED Council and Host Chapters in the planning of the 2017 Convention so we can make it the best convention yet! The form can be filled out at this link: http://goo.gl/forms/XpF9awBglE That’s not everything though! We need to complete our SED Council with our two appointed positions: Parliamentarian and Historian. The respective applications are attached to the bottom of this SHELLS. To apply to one of these positions, send the completed application along with a Goals of Office, TBS Résumé, and Chapter Recommendation Letter to sedpres@tbsigma.org by

Your 2016 -2017 Southeast District Officers! Lauren Harrison President sedpres@tbsigma.org Lauren Harrison is currently a senior at Auburn University majoring in Supply Chain Management. She was initiated into the bond on February 19, 2012. She served as the 2015-2016 SED President

and

represented the district at the 2015 National Convention in Lexington, Kentucky. On the chapter level, she served as President for the 2014-2015 school year, Corresponding Secretary for the 2013-2014 school year, and Mending Chair for the 2012 football season. In addition to her TBS leadership, she was the 2014 Piccolo Section Leader for the Auburn University Marching Band. Lauren is very excited to serve as SED President for another term.

Katelyn Waldron - Vice President of Membership sedvpcm@tbsigma.org Kat e l y n Wa l d ro n i s currently a senior at the University of South Florida majoring in Public Health and minoring in History. Upon coming to the University of South Florida in 2013, Katelyn was approached with the opportunity to create a Tau Beta Sigma chapter at the university. On March 31, 2015, Katelyn, along with thirteen other colonists, were initiated in the officially installed Iota Chi chapter of TBS. From there, adorned with the nickname of "Mom Voice,� Katelyn continued to serve her chapter as president during the 2015-2016 school year, along with serving as a an HIV volunteer at a local outreach clinic at the university. Katelyn is looking forward to serving the district as SED VPM this year and is excited to meet and work with all of the sistaus in the district!

 

Gemilia Washington - Vice President of Special Projects sedvpsp@tbsigma.org Gemila Washington is a Senior Music Education major at BethuneC o o k m a n U n i v e r s i t y. During her time at Bethune-Cookman University, she marched with the Mighty Wildcats for 4 years. Gemila became a sister of the Theta Rho chapter of Tau Beta Sigma in the Spring of 2015. She is also assistant to the Vice President of Membership and is her chapter liaison for the 2015-2016 Focus on Five campaign. Under her leadership with this campaign, her chapter has earned all stripes and the completed lyre.

Isaac Ray Norris Secretary sedsecretary@tbsigma.org

Isaac Ray Norris is a graduating senior at the University of North Alabama studying mass communications and journalism. He was initiated into the bond on April 24, 2013. He is currently serving the Eta Beta chapter in the role of treasurer, and has served Eta Beta as the chapter Historian/ Webmaster in 2014 - 2015. He has been chair of both the history committee and fundraising committees. Isaac has also been a member of the service committee. Kathleen Elwell Treasurer

sedtreasurer@tbsigma.org Kathleen is a senior at the Florida State University. She has been a member of the Florida State University Marching Chiefs for four years and served on leadership for one year. Kathleen is studying Spanish and Communication Science and Disorders. After earning her degree she plans to attend graduate school to pursue bilingual speech language pathology at the University of Central Florida. On April 14, 2013, Kathleen was initiated into the Alpha Omega Chapter of Tau Beta Sigma. During her time in Tau Beta Sigma she has served on multiple committees such as Fundraising, Awards, Ways and Means, MEP and Service. Within her chapter she has held many leadership roles including Awards Chair, Fundraising Chair, and Ways and Means Chair. This past year she has held the honor of being Southeast District Treasurer and she is very excited to hold the role for a second term.
