On your mark, get set, GO! Sedalia Parks and Recreation is turning Clover Dell into a racetrack on Saturday, March 5th, 2021 to host a Power Wheels Race! Children ages 1-8 are invited to bring their personal Power Wheel and compete in a friendly race! Check in begins at 2:00 p.m. The competition will be divided into four age classes ages, 1-4 and 5-8 competing separately. The first race will begin at 3:00 p.m. Trophies will be awarded for 1st 2nd and 3rd place for all classes. Enter to win a brand new ride! Registered Power Wheels must be original stock vehicles with no modified batteries. Helmets are required for participation.

EASTER EGG HUNT
Saturday, April 9 Liberty Park 10:00 a.m. SHARP Ages 0-10 years Free
Join us for our annual Easter Egg Hunt at Liberty Park! The horn will sound at 10:00 a.m. sharp, so don’t be late! The event is for children up to age 10. Look for designated areas for each age group. Don’t forget to bring a basket! After the Egg Hunt, the Easter Bunny will make a special appearance (so don’t forget your camera!). There will be a petting zoo from Thorni Ridge Exotics LLC!
PAWS IN THE PARK DOG BONE EGG HUNT
Monday, April 11 Free! Horn sounds at 6:00 p.m. SHARP The Dog Park will close at 4:00 p.m. Dogs will not be permitted into the dog park until 5:55 p.m.
Sedalia Parks & Rec and the Sedalia Animal Shelter are putting on an “egg hunt” for your 4 legged friends! Put Fido and Fluffy on leashes and bring ‘em to the dog park at Clover Dell Park. Dogs must be up to date on shots and Donations appreciated; items needed are: Bleach, Paper towels, Trash bags, Laundry detergent.

Enjoy an evening of dancing with your special girl at our Top Hats and Tiaras themed event. Our guests will enjoy a night of dancing with your special someone, dinner, activities, and a photo to remember this special “date.”

Grab dad, grandpa, uncle, brother or that special man in your life and join us for our third annual Father’s Day Fishing Derby! Sedalia Parks and Recreation is partnering with Missouri Conservation Department! Prizes will be awarded to the top fisherman. Limited fishing poles available first come first serve basis. Worms will be provided as bait. Any other bait will need to be provided by participant. Pre-registration is strongly encouraged! Prizes will be awarded to: Biggest Fish (lbs), Longest Fish, and Smallest Fish (lbs).

Remember the good ‘ol days of the drive-in movie? Well, grab a floating lounge chair, kick back, relax, and enjoy Luca at Centennial Pool! Gates will open at 8:30 p.m. and the concession stand will be open to purchase your favorite movie snacks!

HO HO HO! Did someone say Christmas?! Kick back and relax at Dive in Movie Christmas In July! Home Alone will play at Centennial Pool and special guests Santa and Mrs. Claus will stop by for a visit! Santa’s favorite summer snack, sno-cones will be on sale for 50ç.

The Pools have gone to the dogs! Here’s an opportunity for your pooch to beat the heat and just have a “dog gone” good time. Open to all friendly dogs and their owners. • Dogs must remain under owner’s control at all times. • Dogs must remain leashed until inside the pool gates.
No free running! • Proof of current vaccinations required. • Owners are responsible for any “accidents.” • Any dogs not obeying rules and/or causing a disturbance will be asked to leave. • This event is for dogs. Humans are free to come watch but please leave the water fun to the dogs. • This program is only held once a year at each pool before we drain the water for the season, so don’t miss out on the fun

Kick off your 4th of July at the 4th of July Parade in Downtown Sedalia! This year’s theme will be America’s Superheroes! Enter your floats for free by contacting the park office. Prizes will be awarded to the Most Patriotic, Most Original, and Most Creative float!

FIREWORKS SPECTACULAR
Monday, July 4 Missouri State Fairgrounds Grandstands Fireworks start approx. at 9:30 p.m. Free
End your evening with a fireworks spectacular show on the Missouri State Fairgrounds!
Bring your family out for a picnic in the park! Free hot dogs, chips, and drinks will be provided. Bounce houses and a live band will perform to keep the celebration going!
